I agree, it was obvious from Stranger Things. They turned all of their genius boys int clowns in series 2 and 3. Consistently introducing girls that would upstage them. Even the sheriff turned into a moron throughout the whole of the third series and he was the guy that saved the day more often than not in the first series.

Disney is just as worse. Every female villain usually has a backstory in which she was abused by a man causing her to turn out that way.

Older movies do it as well but are often subtle about it.

If you feel that way, maybe you should consider unsubscibing from Netflix and send them an email saying why you unsubscribed. If enough people do this, they will change. They are capitalists above all else.

I know it is inconvenient, but this is the only thing that has any chance of working. This this is the reason why they would put misandrsit content all the time, but would not put something like "the red pill" documentary, for example. Because they know that feminists will definitly boycott them if they don't push their narrative. In the end, they don't care how it makes you feel, as long as you still watch it.

One of the worst ones was Champions, which thankfully got cancelled after a single season. A lot of the jokes were almost literally "ha ha men bad am I right?" and at every opportunity they had the two main straight white male characters make offhand self-deprecating remarks.

There's a reason Fleabag is still the best show with a woman protagonist, and one of the best, period: it doesn't shy away from portraying everyone as humans. Horribly, gloriously flawed humans. The main character is a terrible person--as well as highly sympathetic. It's complicated. Human.

I'm not a subscriber, but a relative (who isn't a woke either) gave me access. I've told him to end the subscription whenever he wants, because I don't like it.

I don't know if Netflix is what it is due to their beliefs or if they are doing this because "it sells", but I don't care. I'm tired too.

Why do even have subscription? I've never had one and the last time I considered getting one was in 2017. The platform sucks. Their content sucks. Their policies sucks. And it's run by plain bad people who should be out on the street panhandling, not raking in millions. Stop giving them your money. Pirate the content if you absolutely need to watch it.

I feel the same way, which is why I unsubscribed this year.

I was an early adopter of Netflix back when it was still competing with places like Blockbuster. But eventually I got tired of being bombarded with misandry every time I saw the words "Netflix original." If they want my business back, they'll have to take a stand against shows that shit on my demographic.

About the sex ed thing: I feel like this was okay and not actual misandry. Jean tends to be pretty fair and understanding ab this stuff (character wise obv) and I think it just shows her frustration and anger at the situation, especially because it's out of character.

Was not necessary to get your point across. It will just make people become defensive. Additionally, it is quite subjective when it is "appropriate" to become offended, so it is hard to argue beyond "I disagree".

I only was with Netflix for Daredevil, Defenders, and the rest od the Marvel shows. Once they were all cancelled after a couple seasons, I cancelled Netflix.
