I'm a bit fascinated when different subs meet. I post a lot at r/collapse, and here's a primer. The ground is firm dating back to "Limits of Growth" by Club of Rome / MIT from the 1970s and followups since then have verified it's model, more or less. Not really here to debate all of that. So if you disagree, make it a WHAT IF instead. You're not necessarily agreeing with the premise by playing along.

How will things change IF we see this in the next 20 years, in a world on a decline. Will it be extremely stratified with elites living in their own vesion of Versailles while the masses struggle? Will the ever changing dynamic between the sexes be markedly different?

I consider it apropos to ask now, as these Covid years seems to be a break in the old pattern, a major demarcation point. I felt it in my life. I wonder if others have too.
