Congrats dude!

My divorce was finalised bit more than two weeks ago and the freedom that comes with that signed piece of paper is unexplainable!

My bed is my own!

My kitchen is clean and organised!

My garden looks spectacular!

My bedroom cupboards are my own and I don't need to share!

My house is clean and in order!

I can have pictures on the walls!

My time, my freedom, my LIFE!

My favourite is having a planned rest day without having someone fill it with shit they want me to do for them. Also, not being sidetracked from my workout schedule and healthy eating plans. Turning off my phone while fishing and not coming back to a hundred texts is pretty nice too haha

My "man cave" became a "man house".

Meanwhile, her 3 bedroom apartment in the ghetto became a 4 bedroom because she got knocked up and they decided to repurpose their living room.

First things first congrats my dude, and welcome to the club. The freedom is amazing isn't it.

I've been divorced for a few years now and reading this thread was interesting. I forgot about all the dumb ass half done art projects and the shoes everywhere. The garage filled with someday projects, or the reject/ no longer the in thing junk that once sat in the house for some God awful reason.

I still to this day find it hard to believe that I lived my life that way for so many years. Giving up my life to better someone else's. Investing countless hours of time, energy, and money into what someone else wanted "our" life to be. Never once stopping to ask what I wanted.

I only wish I had done it sooner. Seriously my Guys, if you happened to stumble across this early on in your relationship keep this in mind. Make sure that your vision is be created and things are going equally as well for both of you. You are not a slave....you are the King.

My freedom moment ( like Andy Dufrane crawling out the sewer pipe from Shawshank) involved a fire pit on my patio, a nice cigar, and my buddy Jack Daniels. My ex before she left and moved in wkth her boss would get mad if I opened the door after dark because I might let bugs in.

Hey guys,I was in a motorcycle accident approximately a month ago, after being in the hospital for a week she sent me divorce papers. I feel angry, scared, sad. I don’t know what to do.I guess I’m looking for a little bit of support. This is the hardest thing I’ve ever done we were together 23 years 17 married And she pretty much ran my life

It hurts me to say that out loud but it’s true I feel kind of lost. I’m very lucky to have somewhere to go after I leave the hospital, but the place to go is my moms… pretty hard on the ego to move back in with your mom. I’m looking for any experience strength and hope you guys have the offer. How long does this pain lasts?
