I am a little cluttery myself since I rather do projects than clean all day but I am not filthy. I once lived in a house like this. I was such a cool girl in college, you guys. I was the COOLEST! Until I moved into that house.

Suddenly, my roommates stopped treated me like a friend and started treating me like a maid. We had a dishwasher and one refused to use it. He really expected me to put his dirty dishes in the fucking dishwasher solely because I was a woman!!! I refused to clean up after that. I would only clean my room and the bathroom I used (which was reserved for me, their GF’s, and any other women who entered the house). Unfortunately, Dish Guy’s GF would come over just to clean the house. Then the roommates would get pissed at me because she had to come in and do my job for me? What?

Unfortunately, this situation is pretty common. I’ve seen it a few times. I lived in this house before New Girl was on TV, but that show really normalized that living situation in a bad way. My roommates were nothing like the guys in New Girl. Living with them was a nightmare. Never again.
