When I was in highschool, I got friendzoned by a girl named Lindsey. We were 'friends' for like 8 years. She liked older guys and was generally sleeping around the block but never gave me a chance outside the friendzone.

Well, when highschool ended, I went out and got my life together. Got a good paying job, I was in great shape. Then what do ya know... here comes Lindsey. Out of shape, up a couple dress sizes, no direction in life, still living with her parents, and supposedly done sleeping around the block. She was then asking me on dates, asking me why me and her never 'hooked up', sending me snapchats featuring her Ta-Tas, etc.

I rejected her and told her exactly why I was rejecting her. She never talked to me again. Guess she just couldn't handle the same treatment she gave me. Funny how that works. Guess we weren't really "friends" like she lead me to believe. Guess I was just an attention crutch.

Best decision of my life. A few years later and my girlfriend now is 10x better looking and 10x the person Lindsey is. We have a great life together.
