Lots of women I've talked to have expressed they never want any children.

Lots of women I've talked to have said they want one or two children. Or that they plan on having one or two children with their fiance or husband.

Some women say they "maybe" want three children, on the condition that the stars align. And baby makes three was a television classic after all. Two and a half sorta.

However past three you get into large family territory. At four kids you can no longer fit your entire family into a sedan. You start having to count them to make sure you didn't forget one. Maybe your house is at risk of not having room for everyone. Maybe you don't know many other families with four and you stand out a bit.

But there's definitely women that choose to have that many children.

Back in the bad old days of course. Women had usually more than four but it wasn't so much by choice it was more because birth control wasn't invented yet. But now days they get to choose (unless they live in Texas in which case they get to choose within a margin of error). And of course with childbirth being painful, to put it mildly, and with women shouldering the majority of the work of child rearing, and with the cost of childcare, and the difficulty of affording things as a single income household, very few women are choosing to have four or more children.

So does anyone here have four or more or are aiming for four or more? Why? What makes you "not like the other girls" in this respect.
