Just heard a quote from a man I previously thought was “one of the good ones” that the recent change in women's menstrual cycles during the pandemic and vax/unvax situation wasn't “statistically significant” and I was like holy shit.

Our cycle is what determines if we live or die as a species. If globally, women's cycles are being disrupted, that's something that's pretty damn important and doctors should pay attention!

Yet male doctors like this one are all “meh” women syncing up and any kind of disruption is just a mystery and magical women's business. That it's fascinating and needs more study. Instead of being the four-alarm fire that it is.

Individually, men don't give a shit until it's time for his partner to create his legacy, and if she's barren, it's all boohoo pray for me, I'm on the market for a new incubator now ladies.

Collectively, they don't care until it's too late, and then they scramble and cry about falling birth rates and go around ordering women to have 3 children.

Our cycle is the canary in the coalmine. It stops when we're anorexic, workout excessively, or become too overweight. Our body says “nope, your body isn't able to make a baby”. It stops when we're too stressed, anxious or terrified. “nope, now's not a good time to make a baby”. It stops when our environment is toxic, whether that's people or actual pollutants like air, water, food, power lines or irritants. “nope, your baby won't survive here”.

For over a year I've seen many comments by women around the world regarding their excessive bleeding or disrupted periods, but those comments are being mysteriously deleted. Support groups are being busted up so we can't get together and talk about this dire medical phenomenon affecting the future of humans. So no wonder this doctor has no clue about the scope of this problem. And we get dismissed as “anxious” and “pandemic stress” and we just need to calm down and light some candles and our ability to make human life will sort itself out. We just need to be quiet and get back to doing our job of giving men their heirs.

So vet any man in your life for his views on women's cycles and fertility. Does he think it's magical and mysterious? That monthly agonizing pain is normal and not a sign that something is deeply wrong? That women syncing up in the workplace is a joke? That when we rightfully react to any disrespect and mistreatment, it's only because we're on our periods? That if our period stops it's all woohoo because now there's no shark week blocking his peepee? That any woman who's barren or struggles to conceive isn't a real woman? Best of all, is he annoyed by our needs or wants to stay home during a heavy period and thinks we should just hold it in?

Do the men in your life even know that there is currently a global problem regarding women's periods? That 10 year old girls and 70 year old women are bleeding? Do they care? at all?

I look forward to reddit's censorship on this serious topic.
