Its unreasonable to expect everyone be polite, it's not unreasonable to expect platforms to moderate them to an extent. If Instagram's moderation is shoddy (idk this is my only social media platform) then that's a valid criticism.

Depending on where you are it might also be criminal.

I know there's some women that do pretty much nothing online and get some creeps and other stuff , I'm sympathetic towards them, as far as celebrities that's a whole different world and the same way that you can't use them as a reliable outliers on here for other stuff I don't care about their social medias like that, my favorites are the women that do post thirst traps online and then get those sexual comments ( that they intended to get) and then try to play innocent or act like they didn't do what they did, good Amusement , fuck em 🤷‍♂️

I really don't understand people who scream about them being recorded/ tracked/ whatever by the government/aliens, but don't mind putting their whole lives online and giving basically all their info to a random private company.

The same thing with the crying about the comments - don't put your photos for public viewing and expect only nice comments. You CAN block random creepesters from your FB profile, you CAN also block them from contacting you.

I think it’s pretty unreasonable to expect only polite behavior. We’re on the internet lmao. People say what they want to say, ESPECIALLY when they know they aren’t gonna get punished by it. If you don’t like creeps, why not just block them and move on?

I think it's reasonable to expect that given the opportunity, degenerates will act like degenerates. I don't think it's unreasonable to take issue with that and hold people to a higher standard.

I think that it’s reasonable to expect not to be harassed, yes. Just because someone wants positive reinforcement does not mean that negativity is warranted.

What’s so bad about people saying that it’d be nice if people weren’t such cunts online, particularly towards women? Your comments about the yoga pants prove that you know it’s an issue. Why should women have private their account in order to post pictures of themselves at the gym?

I completely agree with this. Public Accounts should be ready to receive barrages of criticism, insults as well as applause.

I think Instagram has an option to only receive messages from people you follow, if not they should add it. It solves the issue permanently

People shouldn't be banned for criticising or insulting adults with public accounts because they've designated themselves as influencers, celebrities, politicians

i think both things can be true to some extent. posting publicly and regularly on social media means your private life is less private. but it doesn’t negate that harassment of people is still generally bad behavior

Umm... Instead of walking enduring purgatory why dont they just get off the platform? I mean if they have go through Dante's 7 layers of hell to be on Instagram then wont they just quit posting pictures there? If I posted on istagram and had my comment section fill with nasty comments I probably wouldn't post there again.
