Canadian fella: "I'm tired of misandry and feminists, I'm going my own way"

Canadian media: "Misogynist! How dare you refuse to be a willing slave to the feminists?! (Screeching)"

[–]Ahielia 38 points39 points40 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Accurate.

[–]Prairie_Strange 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The reality is, and not just in Canada (Disclaimer, I'm Canadian), anything that is not seen as directly beneficial to women must be misogynistic, because society has been surreptitiously conditioned to believe that everything must ultimately be beneficial to women.

MGTOW doesn't harm women, it is a philosophy to help men, mostly those who have been harmed by societal attitudes and women in their lives, find a way to improve themselves, what women would often call "self care", find a way to be happy in themselves and with themselves that doesn't involve being in a relationship or validated by society because of a relationship, a way for men to invest in themselves, to improve their lot in life, MGTOW is pro-self for men. As it is male-centric, it must be sexist because it is not primarily female-centric, that is the attitude, men putting themselves first is "mysoggykneeist!" because they aren't putting women first before themselves!

[+]SmokeOnTheWaterr -25 points-24 points-23 points 3 years ago (25 children) | Copy Link

Why would you avoid women for being tired of feminists? They aren't the same. Why not just avoid feminists?

[–]dw87190 33 points34 points35 points 3 years ago (22 children) | Copy Link

Agree. But if Canadian women are anything like Australian women, then many who aren't feminists will willingly ignore the harm feminists do to men because feminism benefits all women. It's not surprising that because of this, some men will just avoid all women general

[+]SmokeOnTheWaterr -34 points-33 points-32 points 3 years ago (21 children) | Copy Link

So it's more of an anti women movement than anti feminist. I see.

[–]dw87190 29 points30 points31 points 3 years ago (18 children) | Copy Link

Incorrect. There's nothing misogynistic about avoiding women. Avoiding women, or at the least the desire to, is a product of misandry. Accusations of misogyny is scapegoating us, how very feminist of you...

[+]SmokeOnTheWaterr -19 points-18 points-17 points 3 years ago (17 children) | Copy Link

So you aren't against women, you just don't want anything to do with them because they don't do enough to combat misandry.

Just like feminists that say all men are the reason for misogyny.

I guess blaming the entire gender and treating them as one entity is fine. Many feminists do it so you can too.

[–]dw87190 26 points27 points28 points 3 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

It's not just about that, you're missing, or more likely blatantly ignoring other contributing societal factors that might influence a man to make that choice

No, it's not the same thing. Feminists say "all men" solely to blame us, shame us, demonise us and spark paranoia in other women. That's not the same as a man avoiding women. Not even close

But of course, your account is all of 40 minutes old. Sorry to you, and your TwoX mistress that sent you here, but you want find dirt on egalitarians, you'll have to try picking a fight else where

[–]SmokeOnTheWaterr -5 points-4 points-3 points 3 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

You said you avoid women because they ignore misandry. Shaming women for not doing enough for men.

Same thing feminists do to men. Sharing them for blaming them all for misogyny.

I don't see how it's different for you and them

[–]dw87190 23 points24 points25 points 3 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

I never said I practice MGTOW, nice try. I never said all women ignore misandry either. Two very poor but comedic attempts at twisting my words there LOL

It is different, because I'm not doing what you falsely just claimed. I gave you the benefit of the doubt that you came here for some clarity or maybe some discourse but you're just throwing shit hoping something might stick aren't you?

What happened to you? What's got you so miserable you feel the need to try picking fights with egalitarians like us?

[–]SmokeOnTheWaterr -2 points-1 points0 points 3 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

You certainly seem to have a problem with Australian women. You said that already.

[–]Emyhatsich 11 points12 points13 points 3 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

We live in a world where men are not allowed to speak out, how are we supposed to combat misandry when women don’t give a shit about us and the society only believes them

[–]SmokeOnTheWaterr 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Why don't you think women give a shit about you? Seems like a broad generalization

[–]Emyhatsich 10 points11 points12 points 3 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Have you seen women actually defending men and their rights? Maybe some do, but they are getting attacked and shut by feminists almost instantly

[–]SmokeOnTheWaterr -1 points0 points1 point 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

True. But I've never seem men fighting for mens rights either. Are we expecting women to fight when men aren't?

[–]Sparrowphone 5 points6 points7 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

There's a subtle but real difference between being anti woman and being indifferent to women. I enjoy women, I just enjoy being single and relationship -free more.

Technically this makes me MGTOW.

as a Canadian I can't publicly identify as such because people like you think that it means I hate women.

The reason you think that is because of the media.

[–]bfte2 13 points14 points15 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

MGTOW isn't a movement.

[–]ThumpingBump 9 points10 points11 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

At it's core, it's the same logic as what is behind "it's all men until it's no men"

[–]anonymousrph123 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Didn't want to post on your main account? Sounds about right.

[–]ANUS_CONE 106 points107 points108 points 3 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link

“Not loving us is sexist”

[–]EvidencePlz 27 points28 points29 points 3 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

Will see what they can do or say to people like me who are MGTOW and aromantic sexual. Due to purely natural, biological reason it's impossible for me to genuinely feel or be romantic towards any woman. The only two things I'm capable of doing with women is participating in sexual activities and being their friend. I'll be absolutely lying to women (and they will know and feel it eventually) if feminists and/or the government were forcing me to pretend to be romantic/emotional towards them and tell them that I loved them and wanted to be in a long-term, marital relationship with them.

Your move, Canada. Show me what you can do to people like me who are biologically MGTOW lol.

[–]AnonymouslyFlustered 14 points15 points16 points 3 years ago* (6 children) | Copy Link

I don’t understand how men not wanting to interact women and do our own thing in life misogynistic. Basically saying that we’re not actively trying to be in a relationship with women we are being sexist. So they’re trying to shame by us because we don’t want to be miserable . Wow they even hate men when you leave them alone.

Edit: punctuation

[–]MikeFerguson1337 4 points5 points6 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I had to look this thing up. Never heard of mgotw, but the news articles seem to be Twitter based, Twitter must die.

[–]EvidencePlz 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The article and the news have nothing to do with Twitter.

[–]Prairie_Strange 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

By avoiding relationships, MGTOW men like myself (I'm Canadian By the way) remove themselves as Resources and utilities to be exploited by women, and as women don't like that idea, it is of course misogynistic, a word that once used to mean "hatred of women", but now is commonly used as "Something, a concept or idea a woman or women don't like".

Realistically, the cries of "Mysoggyknees!" are being driven by fear, fear that women will lose access to resources and men as utilities, meaning those women may actually have to stand on their own two feet, and that frankly terrifies a lot of women!

[–]EvidencePlz 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You don't wanna work yourself to death and give me free money? You don't wanna die trying to protect me when "bad boys" Chad and Tyrone beat me up after having sex with me? Okay misogynist. Let me write a news article on how big of a threat you are to women and the society.

[–]rit255 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

If women are smart they would find ways to incentive men towards marriage and actually offer a good deal instead of bullying and insulting folks

[–]reptiliantroll 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

MGTOW men like myself (I'm Canadian By the way) remove themselves as Resources and utilities to be exploited by women

" MGTOW men like myself (I'm Canadian By the way) remove themselves as Resources and utilities to be exploited by women"

How the hell do you even let that happen in the first place? YOU are a MAN, you have the ability to say no to her requests of spending resources on things you don't want to spend your resources on. Pretending otherwise is just weak beta male behaviour.

[–]Icy-Start5536 9 points10 points11 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I remember being asexual used to be a thing, even a protected one, what's the qualitative difference between a MGTOW and an asexual? Oh of course! A MGTOW isn't spending his money on wymmn! MISOGYNYYYYYYYY-IE

[–]copeharderhun 12 points13 points14 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's the typical thing isn't it. Every single thing women do is projection.

Know how they say about nice guys "you can't just put niceness coins in and get sex"? Well this is pure projection. We all know that's not what nice guys dislike. They don't just "want sex" they want someone to care about them and who they can care about. They were told from birth that being nice is the right way to be and are pissed off they've been lied to. That's the gripe of nice guys

So why do women say this? Projection. They totally feel entitled to everything from men. To love, sex, resources, everything. And they assume men do too.

[–]feudepaille 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

(Rolls eyes) EVERYTHING is sexist to these people.

[–]rit255 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Or not giving money freely is oppressive

[–]_Remember_me_not_ 24 points25 points26 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The usage of the word "misogynist" has lost all it's original intent and now it's just a word thrown around by misandrist to further their bias against men.

[–]SpookieDookie483 49 points50 points51 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Canadian media is misandrists. Anything western will do this. We are on our own and must ban together.

[–]topgun22x 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's more than that. It's a political game to reduce a section of men and sieze more power and resources through the tax and regulatory system. If they get some men(police)to point guns at other men(useless MGTOW incels) because it's the law then they essentially control the annexes of power. This is not conspiracy as the narrative is clearly in view in mainstream politic in Canada. It's a play for more resources and power.

[–]Amazing-Bit6140 45 points46 points47 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

They really don’t like the idea of men not spending their time beholden to or grubbing around for the approval of women.

They need men back on the leash because women are far easier to manipulate with media on average

[–]Sininenn 30 points31 points32 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

It's because single men don't have the same 'incentives' or pressures to earn more and more...

[–]Nocturnalist 12 points13 points14 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Doesn't really line up with the whole shutting down the workforce and printing money for anyone who requests it thing.

[–]EvidencePlz 8 points9 points10 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Exactly.

[–]EvidencePlz 13 points14 points15 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I watched a little bit of that video. Correct me if I'm wrong but it looks like they put MGTOWs and incels under the same label or category, which is completely wrong. MGTOWs are not incels and incels are not MGTOWs.

[–]shit-zen-giggles 8 points9 points10 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yes, the put them in the same category and they don't care.

[–]Prairie_Strange 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

No, the Secret Service is American, we have CSIS here, Canadian Security and Intelligence Service, also, they are conflating MGTOW and a radical element of those who identify as involuntary celibate, I assure you, as a MGTOW myself for many years now, my celibacy is very volutary! It is also interesting to note, that "INCEL" as a concept actually started in the 90's from a female University of Toronto student who was pissed she was not getting the attention of men she felt entitled too!

[–]shit-zen-giggles 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

The text is literaly the title of the video that is linked. Not my wording or position. Feel free to take a look. The vid creator is a going his own way and critiques the CSIS position.

[–]Prairie_Strange 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

It does have the words "secret service", absolutely, but nothing connecting that to Canada.

The OP isn't critiquing CSIS in Canada, he is critiquing the Secret Service of the United States of America. Canada and the US of A are separate countries, in case you didn't know.

[–]shit-zen-giggles 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Sorry, got them mixed up indeed. My bad. Thanks for taking the time correct.

Toxic Porcininity.

[–]ijustdontcare74 37 points38 points39 points 3 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

This is the great thing about the mgtow community and movement, it doesn’t require anything but your own choices. So what if the government decides we’re all evil…that’s NOT a going influence me into not being single. Nor is it going to convince me to put women first. I’ll just continue to look after myself and ignore women, they cannot legislate that. If they tried a single man tax, I’d just leave. A lot of this social programming stuff relies heavily upon your capitulation, but if you ignore it…it has no power over you.

[–]dungeonmonkey69 22 points23 points24 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

100%. They want your attention more than anything so ignoring them is the most offensive thing you can do to them. Actually found I was so much happier when I just ignored and blocked out 'woke' garbage rather than fumed about it.

[–]EvidencePlz 14 points15 points16 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

ignoring them is the most offensive thing you can do to them

They are offended because they know very well that they can't win if you decide not to play a game that's rigged from the beginning from the bottom up to emasculate and defeat you.

[–]dungeonmonkey69 5 points6 points7 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah pretty much. Like I've got a long term partner who used to call herself feminist but thinks the term is dirty now after what's been going on the last 5-10 years. We just live our lives happily and ignore the bullshit. Both had to cut off people who were femcel fanatics and happier for it

[–]flibbidy_floob 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Well said. Why would I legitimize a fraudulent system by playing by its rigged rules?

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

They already have a single man tax. And if America ever tries this bullshit I’ll vote right for the rest of my life

[–]SmokeOnTheWaterr -4 points-3 points-2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

True. No one can tell you that you have to like or respect women. That's your choice.

"These are anti-women movements and they have devastating, real life consequences."

What devastating consequences? Contributing (slightly) to lower birthrates and matrimony? A bit more online sarcasm?

Not that I'm an expert but willfully mixing up incel and MGTOW seems wrong to me. I'd expect the latter would look down on incels big time for being absolutely stuck in the desire of having relationships with women, yes? That's anathema of going your own way, isn't it?

[–]EvidencePlz 7 points8 points9 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

willfully mixing up incel and MGTOW seems wrong to me

yup looks to me like that's exactly what they did, and I didn't even watch the full video.

[–]DouglasMilnes 11 points12 points13 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I'd expect [MGTOW] would look down on incels big time for being absolutely stuck in the desire of having relationships with women, yes? That's anathema of going your own way, isn't it?

Many MGTOW have a woman. Some are even married. If that's what they want and are sure they aren't just folding to social pressure, that fits.

I think anyone who looks down at somebody for anything that is involuntary - whether it's a disease, a body feature, or being without sex - is scum.

Not all incels are "stuck in the desire of having relationships with women". While their celibacy might be involuntary, they might well have learnt to live with it and just be getting on with thier life, perfectly happy if people didn't keep attacking them for whatever is stopping them having sex (which might vary from a bad childhood circumcision, through being ugly, to poor social skills likely connected with being brought up in a single-parent home).

[–]Vaudeville_Clown 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah ok. Just saying they seem very different and I assume their perspectives would clash a lot.

For all I know, maybe incels and mgtows ignore each other as a standard.

[–]DrakeJack143 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Well they also want to demonize you as much as they can and mix up all the buzzwords in. It also kinda makes them look like the good side. Regular people don't have the time or care enough to look deeper, so they'll also go with the narrative. Afterall the more they demonize, more will it solidify the philosophy. And I wouldn't care for low birthrates, it would only be the consequence for their actions.

[–]Vaudeville_Clown 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I agree that's probably why. Also, I think they want to create the image that 'manosphere' is a sort of unified front (against women and society).

I'm a MGTOW Canadian man, my celebacy is very volutary and self imposed, and you are correct, I don't have too much respect for men that respect themselves so little that they are desperate for the attention of women to validate themselves as men! The "INCEL"concept is actually completely opposite the MGTOW philosophy!

MGTOW are excusing themselves from relationships, INCELs are desperate for them!

The media just must pathetically twist anything.

Indeed, not handing over cash to women on demand is misogynistic.

[–]EvidencePlz 11 points12 points13 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Not just cash bruh. I want 50 percent of your monthly income, 50 percent of your assets, child support, alimony and the dog too as soon as I find the next stupid weak beta cuck paypig simp who's willing to bend down and pick up the soap for me.

Edit: Let me remind you that if you are not willing to comply, I might throw in a couple of false accusations of rape and domestic violence.

Ya, and then Poilievre ripped Turdhead a new asshole when he tried to gaslight the issue. https://fb.watch/f-dvblJZfy/

Reddit has banned the “r/MGTOW” community for violating its rule against promoting hate.

Well, if even reddit says mgtow promotes hate, then it must be so.

A movement about men is an insult to women…

[–]IronJohnMRA 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

'misogynistic'

The scare quotes makes me wonder if the writer, and publication, may be subtly siding with MGTOW. Or at least against Trudeau.

This is the government that made buying sex, but not selling it, illegal. Why would anyone be surprised? They don't care about men and have no problem harming men just to appease feminists.

This isn't necessarily a bad thing. There is a national leader giving the online MGTOW community, and lifestyle, free advertising. The only part I didn't like is that the term, "MGTOW" wasn't used by him.

[–]gckman915 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Canadian media has zero credibility as it's funded by it's shitty Liberal government. It's nothing but worthless vitriol that, unfortunately, many dumb people get their information from.

Can't have men deciding women aren't worth the hassle and living how they choose I guess.

Downvote me if you must, but like radfems amongst feminists, arent there radicals amongst the mgtow movement who can be quite hateful of women?

Certianly i've talked with plenty of them. I was even close to becomming one, at one point.

I disagree with calling the entire MGTOW movement misogynistic, but how do you think the radical parts affected this decision?

[–]Vaudeville_Clown 6 points7 points8 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

There probably are, but any reasonable person would look at impact.

Sure, a person hate venting online has a bit of impact. It may influence people who read and take impression from it, I guess. That's the impact.

The impact of radfems though is straight into legislature, established media and every political institution you can think of.

It makes absolutely no sense to put these on the same level.

[–]AbysmalDescent 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

wtf are "radical mgtow"? guys that just sit on the couch all day, smoking pot and not thinking about women? It's an oxymoron. It doesn't make any sense.

[–]Prairie_Strange 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Absolutely there is an element in MGTOW that hate women, It is however tiny, and no more than christian fundamentalists movements, fundamentalist Islam, or any other religion that views women as subservient to men, Even police as a whole likely have the same or more members that are "misogynistic", however none of those ideas, movements, or as MGTOW is, a philosophy, promote the idea that men to take care of themselves and improve on and in themselves before they expend that energy of women, MGTOW is about self care for men by themselves, and it is viewed as "misogynistic" not because it actually harms women, but rather it doesn't put women first, and those who practice the MGTOW philosophy generally are not offering themselves up as utilities or resources for women, thereby denying women their assets and time, which women, generally speaking, have come to feel entitled too.

Our female-centric society is terrified, and has labelled MGTOW as "misogynistic" NOT because it directly harms women, but because should the practicing of the MGTOW philosophy become more prevalent among men, Women may actually have to stand on their own two feet without support from men, and they see that as harmful!

That's why society is terrified of young men and teens discovering the MGTOW philosophy before society has had a chance to set too and let them be used as utilities and resources.

Why tf is there so many folk who be against males and not care about them?

[–]MarmiteTermite 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Living in the household of a darling man who sometimes talks about MGTOW, I sometimes do hear this sentiment of misogynism. It's not directed at me though, but perhaps a younger generation (I can't believe I just put myself in the 'older category' , but I gotta get real). I have heard what he has said about the young women 'hitting the wall' and how they have all these expectations and yet in truth, they don't have anything tangible to bring to the table themselves and as a result, many men are simply not bothering with the whole mess anymore. If refusing to kowtow to ludicrous demands from a female who isn't even related makes you a misogynist, then I guess this woman is too! If I was a younger dude (heck, if I was a dude and single - age is irrelevant); I probably wouldn't be looking for any kind of commitment in this day and age. Too much hassle. That's not misogynistic. That's someone who wants to keep life uncomplicated.

[–]Greg_W_Allan 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

There were posts on the MGTOW subreddit saying that women shouldn't vote with many hundreds of upvotes, clearly there is a lot of misogyny in those groups.

https://www.reddit.com/r/IncelTear/comments/jsghb9/mgtow\_were\_not\_a\_hategroup\_we\_just\_want\_equal/

[–]AbysmalDescent 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago* (5 children) | Copy Link

As if feminists/women's sub-reddits didn't say stuff like this on a daily basis and upvoted? I've even seen some try to argue that men voting as they do is an example of the patriarchy or female oppression. What are you talking about?

[–]T35tTest678 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Misandry from radical feminists doesn't justify wanting to take away women's rights. We should be against discrimination against both groups.

[–]AbysmalDescent 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

No mgtow really wants to take women's rights away and, if they do, they are in a very small minority and often called out on. That's certainly not what I am seeing on feminists or gynocentric subreddits when it's the other way around though.

[–]T35tTest678 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

In my original comment I linked a comment on the MGTOW subreddit saying women shouldn't vote with hundreds of upvotes.

[–]AbysmalDescent 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Not only would I argue that these types of posts from men are hardly, if ever, actually serious, but there are just as many women/feminists making posts about stuff like this against men, and they are usually far more serious about it than men are.

[–]T35tTest678 -1 points0 points1 point 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

  1. In the original post I linked, they were 100% serious about being against women's suffrage.
  2. Misandry from radical feminists doesn't justify men being sexist towards women.

Y'all just exposed yourselves bye now. Really not the men's rights group I thought I joined

[–]TheSilverShade 13 points14 points15 points 3 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

What did you think Men's Rights was about ?

After all, the choice of remaining single and not participate is a man's right .

You exposed yourself as apparently you got more comments on TwoX. You've only commented here once.

It was a good effort tho.

[–]AbysmalDescent 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

How is this not a men's rights issue? This is a government attacking men, because they are men, and trying to perform some major misrepresentation to justify their own hand.

[+]Miekomans1 -10 points-9 points-8 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Anyone that has ever browsed the MGTOW subreddit would gladly agree with this article.
80% of the MGTOW content is just hating women

[–]Still-Association-52 7 points8 points9 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Anyone who says that is brainwashed. First response to anything that doesn't agree with them is hate.

[–]OneDumbPony 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

MGTOW repeatedly talked about "pumping and dumping women", how to find a girl who will do all the chores you need them to do but lead them on and never marry them, said women shouldn't vote, and regularly called women dogs. Even original MGTOW members had left these online spaces because it wasn't about men lifting up other men anymore, it was about how to use and abuse women.

Still having relationships with women, whether it is sexual or romantic, isn't going your own way.

Go your own way already and stop harassing women.
