It’s fine. What good is an echo chamber? I refuse to post on a site that doesn’t allow dissent. That’s why feminist sites are so toxic, they ban anybody with a different opinion. I like this site because it allows different opinions. I happen to be neutral about neonatal circumcision, for example, do it if you want, don’t do it if you don’t want. I get flamed big time, major hatred and vitriol spewed my way, but they don’t ban me. Reddit should have an open opinion policy across the board. Other than threats of violence, I say let people express opinions, it’s how we advance.

We don't hate women, in fact in all honesty the problem is that we are genetically engineered to worship and love them. They have turned on us and it hurts so much that many of us respond with bitterness and vitriole as a desperate self defense mechanism.

I tend to think of women as victims of feminism, not the perpetrator. Even feminists are not banned here, however they are usually heavily downvoted.

I don’t think you have anything to apologize for. I’m one who responded to your post. You had an impression that you felt warranted discussion, so you asked about it and received feedback. That’s what such subs are for. Importantly, it sounds like you listened to and reflected on that feedback.

The problem in my opinion is those who elsewhere claim that MRAs are being misogynist without any attempt of clarification.

A lot of people get hung up on this. To be fair, Feminists themselves constantly state feminism = women, when the heck it does. You're programmed to think the two are interchangeable; it's a way to make feminism unquestionable and dishonest as a rhetorical technique. But all too common.

It's rare to see this kind of attitude and self-reflection on Reddit. I respect your open mindedness.

For our part, I'm sure people are sick of the hostility towards the MR community and largely unsubstantiated accusations of misogyny. I am as well.

But you can clearly see on his profile that the his original post didn't have a hostile tone, he was probably heard these accusations somewhere and mistakenly accepted them at face value. It's important to not be hostile towards these users and drive them away, and instead ask for evidence, and educate them politely.

Stooping to the level of misandrists and hostile feminists does not benefit us.

Just my two cents.

It’s okay. But for what it’s worth, even I’ve seen things posted on this sub that i’m sure we both find questionable.

Be that as it may, we don’t hate women in at all, we’re more fed up with what “feminism” has become, and how society (at least western civilization if you live in NA) has proven that it also tends to turn a blind eye and practically reward women for doing questionable things that men would get flamed for if ever caught doing so.

But don’t worry, we understand why you did it.

First off, you didn't offend or insult any of the people who disagreed with you. What you suggest would be like saying someone was personally insulted when seeing an article use the incorrect date for the Gettysburg Address, because they then took the time to write to the newspaper to correct the mistake. It's a bizarre perspective or narrative to have, frankly. I think most people in the real world are mature enough to recognize that offense can only be taken, not given. When someone corrects you on a mistake, they aren't doing so because you've offended them. And in this particular case, it can't be an insult when people know it's wrong, or at least when they don't believe it applies to them.

Secondly, is the idea that people took offense/were insulted the only reason you are apologizing? Or have you taken the time to consider how you could be so certain of a very negative conclusion (women-bashing) about a group of people without any evidence to support that claim? Because that is the real issue I see. If you don't curb your tendency to jump to conclusions without any evidence or reason to do so, then you'll find yourself apologizing like this again in the future. Many times.

There are some who come here who have a real issue with women. Some of that they say has some basis: namely that women in general are quiet about feminist attacks on men, or that they’re happy to take the benefits feminist attacks on men, or how young women are indoctrinated by feminist misinformation.

That said, it all too often goes beyond reasonable criticism. And I agree we do have to push back against this. Feminists don’t seem to, and this is further evidence that their claims of “being about equality” are a sham.

But this, in turn raises the main issue here. Feminism is a mass movement, with its own Department in universities across the world, with ideologues and fellow travellers embedded in all the mainstream media, and governments and corporations at the very least paying lip service to it. The MRM vs Feminism is the complete reverse of how feminists claim the “power structure” of men vs women is.
