I remember in professional school at college s class mate got a state grant because she was a mother and she had previously had a house which she lost to bankruptcy.

The government gave her money because of her so called struggle because she had a past of drugs, buying a house she couldn’t afford and losing it, and losing her first kid to protective services for drugs.

Meanwhile I lived at home, avoided drugs, tobacco, and alcohol, and never had any kids out of wedlock. I got nothing. Not only that like you said I’m ‘boring’. My bank is full but I don’t dress flashy so no one knows it or respects it. No respect or thanks. No grants. I got kicked off FAFSA because I had paid private pay for too long going to college so they just stopped supporting me. Luckily I was always a saver so I just blew my own cash.

Super nice to all my work colleagues. Being naturally smart I learned my career quickly and worked to help my coworkers whenever possible.

My thanks was being taken for granted and basically having to pick up some of everyone else’s work. I got to help all my coworkers with no recognition from management and little gratitude or respect from my peers. Passed over eternally for leadership. No being sent for professional development. When I left my office after working there for a decade it had to be completely reorganized. Without me it was no longer viable without completely changing the management team, my bosses, and hiring temp staffers at a steep mark up.

One of our secretaries called me a man child because of my being a gamer and at the time being a renter. Also my mom did my laundry once a week. I had great relations with my parents and my mom would pick my clothes up on the way home and drop them off the next day on the way back. This bitch has 45 bucks in her bank account, works three jobs, and sends her money to strange men she meets online. One of them gave her herpes. I’m a manchild with my six figure savings.

I imagine once in this world someone would have noticed me keeping my head down and my nose to the grindstone. Some town elder would have brought me into some council. A young lady in town would have seen me saving money for a family and thought “he will be s great husband I should marry him”. Management would have seen that for the last 8 years almost every employee was utilizing me as a resource atleast once a shift. The times I prevented disaster. I would have been elevated to management or sent for professional development to step into that place.

Instead I was disrespected by my management team and many of my coworkers.

My dad was a man from poverty who worked hard to being his family to lower middle class and have his kids get an education. He lived frugally and saved up money. My brother and myself both got degrees and good jobs atleast.

He died of COVID at 70 and his wife my mother 7 years younger developed early onset dementia. Her dad has late onset so this was a surprise.

My mom was morbidly obese and soon after developing dementia required a nursing home as she lost her mobility.

All of the money my dad saved away from working his entire life sucked out to pay for a nursing home.

Fuck this “society”

It's not so much about contributing to society or not. It's that society ties men's self worth and self esteem to whether they contribute to society or not. A guy who contributes a lot in the form of working hard to make money and then spending it on status symbols like a watch, car, designer clothes, or a guy who happens to be masculine and athletic and plays savage sports for the enjoyment of others while destroying his own body, or a guy who trains 24/7 pissing in a bottle so he would go the moon one day. These men are given permission to feel confident and worthy so they can go and get the hot girl they were promised.

Do this experiment for yourself. Dress as a geek. Oversized dirt jeans, ugly sweater, put on glasses, a cheap watch, scruffy shoes. Go out somewhere that has a lot of hot young women. Maybe a mall, or just a busy nightlife street. Note how you feel on the inside. Are you tense? Ashamed of your crappy clothes? Do you feel bad because you don't have any status symbols to show off?

Now go and change into your designer clothes, do you hair, put in your expensive watch and brand new sneakers. Go to the same spot and note how you feel. Is the pressure less? Do you feel more confident? Are you relieved that nobody would look at you as a complete loser?

This is society's brainwashing. Only allowing you to feel confident when you are contributing to it.
