I had something similar happen to me about a year ago, I was at the grocery store. (Attractive) Woman in front of me checked out and then left, I just had a single item so I was fast checking out and then noticed she left a bag of her shit in self-checkout bagging. I jogged out to catch up with her and said "excuse me ma'am", she looked right at me and got in her car and left.

I got a free electric toothbrush and toothpaste out of the deal at least. I still to this day hope she got home and realized she didn't have her shit and just sat there in embarrassment for several hours or days.

so here is the logic.

if you parked next to her and are going to your car thats fine you can be within 1-2 feet of her, but if you are 30ft away and initial a communication then you need to BACK OFF!!

Was behind a person in a drive through one morning and saw their hubcap was about it to fall off. Walked over to let them know. Dude this is why when I walk around the city in the evening near the uni and post up to chill near the campus, I divert my eyes from white women when they walk by. I literally turn my fucking head and body the opposite way so my body language shuns their presence.

I’m Hispanic and white people become incredibly uncomfortable in this part of town when you look at them. Every poc is pretty amenable to conversation and my gaze doesn’t offend them. They also don’t tend to divert their path around me or halt the conversation they are having when getting close.

But then you realize it’s because they give short answers and don’t ask questions while constantly diverting away from you.
