In your experience is there any way to come back from this, or once the damage is done, is it permanent?

Excuses are lame but I was dealing with a lot (family death, suicide of a friend) shortly after I started seeing this girl (about a year ago) and behaved in ways that were def clingy/needy and turned her off, which I never do. Said and did some embarrassing things. She cut it off with me and I moved on, but the sex was really good so I wouldn’t mind starting over, especially since we’ve both seen other people since and have put some time past it.

We kinda work together so before I try to slide in there again, is this a hopeless endeavor? If I act the way I’m supposed to act, will she forget about the time I didn’t?
