Background: High conflict ex. Constant nuclear combat after a 4 year divorce. She nit picks everything and we end up in court annually. She collected a large money bag from the divorce and I pay maximum child support in the state of Texas for two kids with her. We parallel parent while she submits $8 copay reimbursements to nickel and dime me at every step of the way. Custody was 50/50 until our conflict was impacting the kids so now I have every other weekend.

I taught my oldest how to drive, took him to get permit a year ago. He is now ready for his drivers license. I really don't want to deal with ex on his vehicle and wanting to go separate route. He can drive the one I get him during my time and she can buy him a car for her time. She can more than afford it. If I let him drive the car I got him during her time, she'll nit pick and fight me for any little reason (vehicle color, tire pressure, insurance.. anything.)

What are you guys doing for vehicles for those with kids at driving age? Especially for those that parallel parent.
