Because your energy isn’t sincere. You don’t really care how they’re doing. It’s just a line to introduce yourself.

They can tell that you want something from them (their number, positive reaction, validation). You have a salesman like energy about you.

If you have an energy that’s more in the moment and less outcome dependent, you’ll get more positive reactions over time.

They're saying that to indirectly reject you. Something's wrong with your approach. Rather than ask them how they're doing, tell them you think they're cute and you wanted to introduce yourself.

However, I get the feeling your outer game might not be up to par if you're constantly getting rejected so you might want to work on that first.

For me, the easiest way is to ask something random (context related) and then lead the conversation to introduce myself. For example in the grocery store: "hey, quick question, did you try this new cookies? I'm not sure of buying them". Maybe she answers "yes, they are great" and then you can say something like you'll trust her(maybe add something funny too) and finally, introduce yourself and ask her name.

These kind of approachs are better for me because i think it's not too direct and more natural Ps: Sorry for my english

Well that's not a good opener. You actually do want something from them. You know this, we know this, and she knows this. So when you walk up and beat around the bush it's awkward and she's not down to talk to some salesman or missionary so she wants you to get to the point so she knows how to act and respond. This is no bueno.

You're doing what's called an indirect opener during daygame, when it's better suited for nightgame. You can beat around the bush and just be social at the bar or club, but people are doing shit during the day. They aren't there to just chill and meet strangers, so if you're gonna shoot your shot you'd better cut to the chase. Approach from an angle in front of her so she can see you approach but you're not blocking her way. Make eye contact and smile. Then tell her why you approached her, and see if you can turn small talk into something interesting for 5min, then make up an excuse for why you need to leave but ask for her number. Lookup daygame, direct openers, and false time constraints for more information.

Also, stop approaching women at work. If you get the vibe that she thinks you're cute, leave her a note with your number or ask her coworker to give it to her. Then the ball's in her court and you're not adding any stress to anyone else's day. "Can I help you with something," is a normal thing for an employee to say to a guest. She's got stuff to do and standing around flirting isn't a good look for her at work.

The reason this is happening to you is that you're picking the wrong targets. Instead of carrying a shotgun and hitting on every woman you see, carry a sniper rifle and pick out the women who are just wandering around and don't seem to have any specific place to be. Those women will be the ones more receptive to conversation.

It is good that you dare to approach them although it looks like something is wrong, you are on the right path.

It is weird telling them directly they are cute, some of them will like this attitude, some of them no, but also you might end up with girls asking you if you are doing this to any girl, or maybe you are talking to them only because they are cute.

Does not exist any magic formula, you must know how to talk to them - do have an answer to any question.

It's a pretty intelligent multi-loaded question to assess your next move. Not necessarily a bad thing but depending on the tone it could mean a. I'm uncomfortable leave me alone b. Do you need directions or the time? c. Maybe you can give me interesting dialog?

They are saying this because they aren’t interested in interacting with you and want to conclude the interaction as soon as possible.

Do you ever think about how they feel about being approached by you? Do you imagine they are excited or interested in engaging in a conversation with you? After you answer that question, I’m curious what led you to believe they feel that way about interacting with you.

I think saying “Hello, how are you?” is a terrible way to start a conversation with a stranger. It’s how you start a conversation with someone you want something from—which describes you.

What value can you add to their day? Just jump into a topic. Use context clues—are they wearing something you can start talking about or asking about? Are they doing something you can talk or ask about?
