This is normal in the process -- you have to learn how to be genuine and honest about what you're doing. If things start to get even slightly serious, I would simply say "I can never be your boyfriend -- I'm just not that kind of guy." Unfortunately this occasionally has a reverse psychology effect which makes them want you even more.

I'm a big proponent in honesty is the best policy when it comes to intentions. I get really worried about this because for the first time in my life I'm at a point where I literally have 5-6 women at one time that I'm dating. Now I really believe you can only get to know a MAX of 3 (which is pushing it, ideally it'd be 2) women seriously at a time. But I've found women in my state/age range etc so flighty that I have to keep some backups in case a few fall off the radar, which happens crazy often anyways.

Right now there are 3 women I'm seriously interested in, the others I'm just slowly getting to know, and I get a pang of worry every once in awhile if things start to progress a little too fast and we get to that talk...since every relationship technically has a "ticking fuse" until that convo. I think the way I'll handle it is stretch it out a bit only so that I can make my best decision and be confident the one I pick is the one I'm most interested in.
