There's some quality content in the book about having conversations with women as well. For example, how do you avoid interview-esque conversations? Which, I must admit, I used to fall into all the time.

For this, Mark recommends using statements rather than questions. What this means is attempting cold reading and making mild predictions about the woman. Instead of asking her about herself, you should tell her about herself. Try it, and you'll discover that it's actually quite entertaining for both parties. Any time you're asking a question that requires a factual answer, take a stab at the answer instead of asking. I've field tested this dozens of times and it works wonders.

Let me preface this by saying that I understand the following is going to be pedantic.

I just wanted to point out that if you seek to master a subject, any subject, you shouldn't ever consider a single source. You have to learn about the subject from everywhere you can to gain as many informed opinions as possible.

I know that isn't what OP was inferring. I'm sure almost everyone can agree that the title was intended to be more of a figure of speech than to literally mean the last book you'll ever have to read but I wanted to reiterate my thoughts above because I think that message bears repeating. And periodic reminders for anyone looking to self-educate themselves is a necessary part of trying to teach yourself something.

I'm interested in reading about flirting in this book. I have read some of his posts on postmasculine, and although I agree with his principle about vulnerability I find it hard to believe that vulnerability in itself is going to get you laid with the women you want. I'm probably gonna buy the book, though, Mark Manson is a really intelligent guy and I'm sure a lot of thought has gone into writing it.

Hyperbole.

But it is an amazing book that really ties the whole experience together. Its one of the sources that bring a lot of ideas together beautifully and evolves them into something incredibly genuine. I think the big thing that will help people the most from this is:

Having incredibly strong boundaries, while being
Vulnerable and genuine.

PS. in regards to having strong boundaries. Two amazing books are Your Erroneous Zones by Wayne Dyer, and Pulling your own Strings by Wayne dyer. They are no bullshit excellent.

Speaking of good books to read, you should check out The Elite Way: Tariq Nasheed Its contains a lot of original game that the PUA crowd picked apart and made there styles from.

The most powerful part for me reading this book was when I realized for the first time that I really need to take action, stop this over-learning, apply accumulated knowledge. Quoth the Bruce: "Knowing is not enough, we must apply. Willing is not enough, we must do." All this other seduction stuff about attraction and flirting and so on doesn't have any value until I start approaching and get to know girls. I even feel that I don't need this other stuff if I can just go and meet a girl on the street. This is all I need. And this is what I'm working on.

This was the book that got me out of the friendzone with my now-girlfriend. I can't recommend it highly enough, not as a PUA book, but as a general improve all relationships in your life book. Other PUA books/material got me laid, but very few of those resulted in positive relationships.

There are few books that I would say literally changed my life, and this is one of them.

SO I'm reading this book and really enjoying it. But I'm on the bit where he says about the fact he doesn't like fake looking girls with fake tits etc, well I actually really like those girls - the pornstar girls. He goes on to say that because he doesn't like these girls he's not invested in them and therefore they become more invested in him. Would that actually work on these girls? Cause really they're girls you don't want to take back to your parents, but they're ones you wanna fuck cause they're hot.

It's an odd question cause it does work, and the method of becoming more 'vulnerable' is a good method, but is it the BEST method for picking up the fake girls? Cause he says outright that he doesn't like them, so I'm questioning if being 'vulnerable' is the best way to pick them up, or do you just need to spit good game?

Almost done with the book, I gotta say its been an amazing read. As a guy who has been progressing a lot with women for close to 2 years, I just want to say out of all the books I've read - Double your dating, The art of approaching, How to become an alpha male, Magic bullets, and countless others, as well as a few of the RSD DVD series -- This book has by far been the closest thing to reality for me so far, and just makes the most sense - no techniques, deep psychological theory (there is some very light theory), and very easy to read and understand. Vulnerability that he talks about is a great concept and people who are vulnerable are naturals with women. I'm grateful to the OP for helping me discover the book.
