IMHO it's worth pointing out (and I think you were going for this) that being opinionated for the sake of being opinionated is pretty stupid. I think the point the OP was trying to make is that you should have your own worldview and personal values and etc. In other words, have a real personality. Not, "time to employ my 'be opinionated' tactic!"

No offense, but I'm genuinely impressed that people don't proofread what they write to the point where there are three mistakes. Granted, autocorrect can really be a hitch.

The other two mistakes were that he forgot to include three.

Yeah, it's common sense really. Having strong opinions isn't a good thing when your opinions totally suck ass. Don't be an inconsiderate dickhead just to be "polarizing"..
A girl who is really christian doesn't want to hear you shitting on religion, talking about abortion, etc. A girl who is really liberal doesn't want to hear you talking about how much Obama sucks or how much you love Jesus.
[–]DaygameCoach 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Agreed. I recently had a client who thought he was supposed to conflict with the woman on everything, and then was surprised when she said they had nothing in common.
Also, you should have things that you are passionate about where it makes sense that you would have an opinion and you could be a leader. A good example for me would be food. Travel works too.

This is what outcome independence/non-neediness/being present is really about.
The trick is figuring out which women respond best to it.
First thing I'll say is girly girl types love outcome independence. They want to be wanted, it's what gives them power. Being non-judgmental, even indifferent to her is almost a challenge to these types.
Whereas tomboyish ones need a more impersonal approach, less touchy-feely. Common interests work well.
Now when it comes to sexually open ones, the key is polarizing advances then outcome independence. This drives them wild. Two steps forward, one step back.
With more sexually reserved ones, the key is to let them chase you. One step forward, two steps back. Be a bit of a tease, keep the mood light, and wait for the right moment.
Now with girls who are more flighty and impulsive, you need to be more confident and defend your frame when needed.
With girls who are more laid back and quiet, you need to be less self-conscious and more real/vulnerable. Self effacing humor works well.

you should write a big post and cover each of these with solid examples. great job
[–]brotogeris1 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yes, maybe you could do a write up on all the different types, or just expand on what you wrote here?
[–]Astrum91 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Do you know of any books or anything that goes into these in more detail?
Especially the tomboy one, as the girl I like is rather tomboyish. I'd love to learn more about what might get her more interested in me.

Can you give an example of what you mean by "opinionated in every way except for how he feels about her"? Like should i never say she's cute or something or tell her she's attractive? Thanks for the post btw. It seems very helpful to me but I'm just a little confused on the aforementioned statement.
[–]needs_more_protein 8 points9 points10 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
What I think he means is to be free of any preconceived judgments about the girl. The interaction should be a blank slate, your goal is to get to know each other without any biases.

PLEASE READ WHAT THIS MAN IS SAYING. DEAD ON. Blank slate.

I actually find it can be a good thing to express how I feel about her. At the right moments. By right moments I mean genuine moments. It can't be forced, and it has to be honest. If done this way it's not going to lower her attraction to you. It can only increase it.
I see the mindset you have for being nonchalant, I have it in a way too. However I don't think of what I do as a nonchalant attitude, I think an unfazed attitude. I'm not fazed by being around an attractive woman that I like. I'm comfortable with sexual tension, it doesn't faze me and make me act different. I don't revise me beliefs easily because the thought of sleeping with a girl is in my mind. Its clear I enjoy being around her a whole lot, I'm not afraid to express it. However I'm not changing my standards, beliefs, and overall behavior because of it. I'm not fazed.

I was going to say MONEY!!! Women are universally attracted to money
[–]wahahay 6 points7 points8 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Just show women you're going somewhere better with your life. That's the guy every girl wants.
[–]Ventura 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Humour is something that is universally attractive. If you can make a woman laugh, you are most of the way with most women from my experience.
[–]DrSleeper 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
The trick that works best for me is actually honesty. Saying what I want to say when I want to say it. It's often really scary.
I really believe this is the best way of attracting girls. Saying you like them or you think they are cute whenever you feel like saying it. Saying you disagree with them when that's what you feel. Say you don't care when you don't care.
[–]bonix 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Aka just be yourself and don't be afraid of what people think about it. Assuming you're a good person, you'll find a girl that likes you for you.
[–]dr_mcstuffins 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Woman here - what you're saying is absolutely true. One of the biggest things that attracted me to my SO was that he just seemed so incredibly sure of himself. He knew who he was and had strong, well thought out and researched opinions that he could back up without being a dick about it. He didn't force his opinions on me and he is open to change if presented with strong enough evidence.
[–]onetimeiwasahero 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Women are attracted to confidence. Standing by your opinions requires confidence. Confidence is universally attractive.

[–]yokhai 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Universally....right....
That my friends is what we call a red flag.
There is no one single thing all women are universally attracted to.

Power
[–]NilacTheGrim 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Yep, this. Dunno why you got downvoted. It's because you are right and the truth hurts. It's power all the way. Everything else is a fine detail. Work on how much power/wealth/importance you got and the women flock to you.
[–]Idontlikekarmawhores 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Its because power isn't a easy thing to get. Sure you can "fake till you make it" you can go out 7 days a week and you can game your way into a solid HB 10. She will be attracted to you, you will get the attention from men and women alike, but is that really all? Look into my post history, i was one of you: "how should i open a co worker?", "tomorrow i m going on a date, how should i start kino?" etc etc. Seduction is a mindset that you have to force yourself into because its not really natural. You see the "naturals" have more than bitches going on for them right? thats because they have more interesting things to worry about than bitches.
Once you obtain power, once you become leader of men, women will literally fight for you and:kino, power talks, negs, string & theory and all those things we use are going to to implemented in our personality without effort.
Thank you. I can often be too indifferent. I will study this about myself.
[–]Zingerliscious 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I think one of the underlying dynamics at play here might be that having strong opinions leads one to be unyielding in discussions of those opinions and practices associated with them. This unyieldingness is attractive to women, because it shows that you have enough confidence in these values and yourself to not violate them for the sake of social kudos or praise, and thus gives off the vibe of 'strong independence'.
That said I don't think that having opinions for the sake of it is a good idea, it simply shuts down the mind. And pretending to have opinions on things you don't care about would get tiresome and is inauthentic. I think this same effect might be achieved by simply having a questioning attitude and taking nothing anyone says on mere authority, which shows the same kind of independence.
[–]Landscapedude 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
Yeah, here is the real truth.
Normaly you get to this stage when you feel that you can write a book.
[–]LiquorNoChase 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
Yeah guys who act like this are usually 10+ years deep into the game
For someone like me, a guy with below average success, the concept doesn't fly over my head at all. What's confusing now is how to use that to your advantage sexually.
[–]Landscapedude 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
I personnaly could write a Book And i'm just 21... I just don't really have Time.
How to use that ? Gosh just start a conversation with her And use your Brain.
[–]LiquorNoChase 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
That's not really advice
[–]LiquorNoChase 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
[–]Landscapedude 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I don't need to give advice in ordre to improve myself. You apparently need that...
Really, start asking yourself real question about her. Just don't be selfish And give her something to answer... There is a part of the population that speak a lot in order to fake their confidence, And there is people with a good flow that just make the the girl dreaming.
[–]ruboski 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Can I get an example?
[–]petriomelony 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
You: This food is good, eh?
Her: No I don't really like the fact that they used anchovies.
You: Yeah you're right, anchovies suck. This food sucks.
In general, just say what you mean and if she has a differing opinion, don't let that affect how you feel about something. You're ALLOWED to have differing opinions. A lot of guys go into dates thinking that they have to be a cookie cutter match for the girl, but there's always going to be some differences. Stick to your guns.
[–]JourneymanTRP 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I agree with you on the concept of having no opinion of her, but I would disagree with the other part about having opinions on other things.
I have no real system of beliefs and no strong opinions to fight for or express. I have ideas but don't insist they are without flaw. And given this, i've found the same scenario, that the women near me are always interested.
I would say the actual source is not simply having opinions, but having that security in yourself (or your opinions, if any) , thus projecting a high value, and making a woman want you.
The opinions themselves aren't necessary, but they are one of several things that show your security in who you are, which is the real key here.

Weird. In a relationship now with a guy whose attitude is like your describing. Opinionated, but it wasn't just 'opinionated' he has really firm morals and a sense of right and wrong. I found it incredibly attractive. Not just that he HAD such strong opinions but that he always with held them almost to a fault.
Id be wary of 'pretending' to be like this unless you can truly adopt it. I would be devastated if the person I was with suddenly dropped 'the act' of having a strong moral compass and opinions and feel pretty lost and upset.
[–]basilwhite 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
When someone asks for your opinion, think about your answer, ask yourself why you have that opinion, and respond with this second answer. This makes you seem thoughtful, and is in fact a thoughtful activity.

Would guys say this is what they are attracted to in women as well?
A long, drawn out blurb that can be reduced to:
"Have conviction" - good thing to internalize for sure.
[–]apples626 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yea I know a ton of guys like this but they usually are gay. They still have a ton of girls around them though
[–]Bayarea_guy 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Diamonds are women's best friend.
Women want to be desired. They want a sexy man to take charge, do what he wants, and to fuck the brains out of his women. With this in mind, I have been banging tons of chicks whereas in college I had 0. I also lift weights so definitely do that too.
[–]madame_mayhem 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]NilacTheGrim -1 points0 points1 point 11 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link
I have an alternate theory and I think it holds true 99.9999% of the time and trumps any other mindgames you may want to play with yourself or her.
They are attracted to: Money, power and status. Those 3 things are all pretty much aspects of power tho. So it's power, basically, if you want 1 simple idea that covers every possibility.
Aaaand.. That's pretty much it. Even when they or anyone else claims otherwise, power trumps everything.
[–]Spore2012 -1 points0 points1 point 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Op you're wrong though. If there was only 1 criteria, it would be status or implied status. Because with that, comes all the other things required to have a high status. Money, success, intelligence, network of people, etc.
