She knows I’m seeing a therapist weekly. And meditation too. She’s interested in going to yoga with me as well although I’m not sure I want to bring her.

I’m seeing a therapist, not to save the marriage, but to guide me through the divorce and post-divorce. She pushed me to one years ago because everything was my fault lol. Two different therapists just shook their heads saying how tough she really is.

I could give a fuck at this point if she knows I’m going again, but there’s no advantage to her knowing. My reward is being a better, single man on the other side of this.

You are now in an adversial relationship with someone with whom you once were in a most intimate relationship with.

Anything you say or do can and will be used against you at some point in time. Could be years from now!

In my case, before I filed for divorce, my exwife had screamed at me that I needed to go to therapy. So I went without telling her.

By third session, my therapist said this to me. She said “it’s time to talk about divorce. Marriages like these rarely worked out. The sober spouse becomes overwhelmingly resentful of the addict spouse and all of their disasters.”

It was true. After I filed, and she got served? I let it slip that I had seen a therapist. My exwife wasn’t happy about that. Instead of admitting that her addictions to pills had caused our marriage to fall apart, she screamed at me that I needed to see a different therapist. I asked her “why?” She didn’t have a good reason.

Are you 100% sure on giving a divorce? If the reason is some type of issue that could be resolved through therapy, possibly that would be a display that you are interested in change

My ex tried to turn an outpatient dental procedure against me.

I briefly ended up on Wellbutrin due exclusively to my ex, at a low dose for less than a year. It's been 4 years since I took my last dose. To this day, she points to that as proof of my "mental instability"

Never, ever, ever.....share anything about your mental well-being with your ex.
