It depends on the situation. What if you are showing off status ex: performing music, giving a speech, etc you may not be the most attractive person but you have personality. I think that works indirectly.

Throughout my life, I've been told by a lot of people that I'm good looking, that I should go modeling, this and that. Although I wouldn't say I'm ugly, I don't think I'm model material either, but anyways.

The thing is, I never seemed to get the ONE I wanted, but always those who got attracted by my looks only. And even then, for most of my life I've become dependent on looks only to attract women, so my gaming skills used to be shit.

It took me a while to understand why ugly guys get hot girls, and why I've been lucky at getting 7s at best: personality. If I didn't exude that confident, relaxed and witty aura, I wouldn't be able to reach her pants.

It's like a Ferrari that looks good from afar, but you find out it smells bad once you get closer.

I would say opposite.

Being funny, fun, outgoing, "in state", high energy: will get you the temporary hook for a few minutes, hours, or maybe the night.

But looks are more sustainable and are required to keep the girl in the long-run or to be consistently hooking.

I would change the word from looks to attractiveness instead. Attraction is far more than simply your physical looks.

For example, while you may not be a 6 foot Greek god, you can still have strong body language, solid eye contact, dress well, smell well and be well groomed. Its a matter of presenting the best version of yourself.

After the initial presentation, maintaining interest would be personality.

Lets make one thing clear. Your looks and the way that you look are very different. In fact i would even say that looks are not nearly as important as the way that you look to others. If you exude confidence and all that blabla you dont have to be handsome.
