The one that gets me really self conscouious is hands, I never know where they should be or what to do with them when talking to someone else.

Thanks for the guide, self confidence is hard to regain once youve taken hits long term.

This is all great stuff. However, there's something called "Playing down" that you must do if you are particularly attractive, take up a lot of space, or have a natural social influence. If you're naturally intimidating, it's best to play down in certain scenarios.

The purpose of playing down is to make yourself look smaller as to appear more approachable. Doing this can actually make you look more relaxed.

Playing up, what is described in the meme here, can sometimes make an individual with natural social influence look dominating or overbearing. So it depends on the circumstance. You don't want to "play up" to a boss on a power trip. You will be challenging them. Unless the challenge comes with a reward.

Always be "undercover" and in control of every aspect of yourself.

this is mostly for buisness, there are slight differences with seduction.

for example, asking questions. You dont want to do this too much, or you'll turn a conversation into an interview. share stories, and make implications.

they also failed to mention the other person. for example, stance.

now they talk about the stance of confidence but not comfort. typically, when a person is comfortable they will cross there legs

I have a huge problem with my voice. It's soft and does not project because I grew up quiet and introverted.

I started recording myself recently and although I knew how my voice sounded, the amount of inflection ("upspeaking") I use makes me facepalm. I'm now trying to correct myself.

For those of you in the same boat as me, I recommend "Freeing the Natural Voice" by Kristin Linklater, Toastmasters, and record yourself with your phone and PRACTICE.

You can even address the underlying triggers that cause you to clam up and start using the "body language no-no's" once you identify them.

There are a few different routes to doing that which would fall under the "inner game" category.
