Non-verbal communication is a huge part of building attraction. Women may only match with 8s, 9s & 10s on dating apps - but are way more willing to take a chance on 6 out of 10 dude because of his presence and charisma. That kind of attraction can only be only be felt in person. It’s also way more powerful and natural.

The feedback irl is way better than dating apps. Waiting for people to respond, or having a rapport established only to be ghosted is beyond lame, you dont learn from those encounters much not like you can IRL. You just feel you wasted time and effort.

I think both can be good but focus more on IRL encounters, you get way more out of them.

Having the ability to approach if you see something you like is important, but i find dating apps more efficient. Can quickly cycle through high volume of single (or some of them are..lol) women with minimal time/money investment and identify the ones that interest you

In person you can easily go to a few bars and not find any women your type and waste a bunch of time

Dating apps is like applying for jobs online, you have to apply thousands of times, get only a half dozen interviews and MAYBE get lucky and land that one job.

Going outside is like getting a warm referrals from a friends who already works at different companies and the interviews are just lining up.

Not really new revelation for myself. I have always considered dating apps or online dating in general as waste of time. It is not like that I am incapable of getting attracted to pictures no women that are as hot as some playboy or penthouse magazine models are recommended to in these aps. Just normal to ugly girls. I am perfectly fine with dating just normal or average girls but in order to get attracted to them I need some kind of connection. I need to talk to them and see how the act in real life. I also do not trust dating apps in general. There i something of with the algorithm. I almost got no likes in my 100k Austrian home town. I am living in LA now for work related further education and the number of likes exploded. At first glace not a big surprise. LA is much much bigger then my small hometown but still. There is something fishy. I'd rather not believe that a Austrian dude like myself is the ultimate type for some Kim Kardashian wanabees with the big lips.

I don’t find apps to be great. I don’t find clubs or bars to be great either. It’s like real life tinder. Maybe it works great if you’re a complete stud but I’m ugly in the face and short. Two things you can’t fix.

Meeting people in social spaces where there’s some forced interaction is what I prefer but the numbers involved is extremely depressing (super super low turnover and definitely hard to find attractive singles). I’d love to approach in clubs or bars or whatever but I’ve never had a single successful approach from those environments and I’ve done hundreds.

It depends how you do it. Direct approach in the streets will get you a restrain order but going out to activities, being social, meeting up people, having fun, etc will expose you to far more girls than a dating app.

What about social media? You can start the convo relatively easy and move it to rl.

I hate dating apps. They are best place for me If I want to get ignored and see lots of pictures of ugly chicks that are not even my type. The real world is not perfect either but at least you can approach whoever you want and are not getting bothered bad recommendations from a bad algorithm that has no clue with women I am into.

Dating apps are so much easier if you got a good profile though. Also don't have to stay out super late, can have a normal sleep schedule. There's pros and cons to both.
