On a scale of 1-10:

Facial features = 7

Hairstyle = 7

Beard = 10 (in that I hate facial hair so he can't have one)

Muscles = 3 (I greatly prefer soft/overweight men)

Height = 10 (in that I couldn't stand having a partner significantly taller than me so he must be under 6')

Skin Color = 4

Smell = 10

Dick Size = 10 (in that I don't like big ones because it hurts, so he must be under 6 inches.

Absolutely 10. I was never taught that "looks don't matter" in the sense that you should give men you aren't attracted to a chance or that you would be virtuous for doing so. I understood it in the sense that I shouldn't be assuming a man would make for a good partner just because he's physically attractive to me. Just as much as a dude wouldn't necessarily be a good match for me simply for being a good person. Has to be both, at bare minimum.

Of the features you listed the ones that actually matter to me are facial features, hairstyle, and smell. I generally prefer no beard with some rare, exceptional men who look good to me either way, like my BF.

From a looks perspective, below are my “nice to have”preferences in a man:

Taller than me with heels on. I’m 5’7. So preferably 5’10 or higher.
You don’t have to be a pretty boy but yeah I’d like you to have a face and mouth that isn’t repulsive and that I’d like to kiss. Duh. I don’t like chapped lips and spittle in the corners of the mouth, so grooming and hygiene matters too.
Not sloppy fat. I like a guy who looks like he lifts and has a sense of athleticism. But he doesn’t have to have an ideal body fat percentage or whatever. I don’t really care about washboard abs. I’m more into strength capability and general physique.
Ability to grow a full coverage beard because I find 5 ‘o clock shadows incredibly sexy.
A voice that is deeper than it is high pitched or nasally.
Basic hygiene ish like don’t smell gross. Smell good. Don’t look gross. Look well kept for the most part.
I would base penis size preference on the stats around dildo purchases. Men’s Health Australia says the most commonly bought size is 6 inches. Google says “between 4 and 5 inches, and circumference was between 4 and 6 inches.” The best-selling dildo on Amazon is 5.2 inches long and 4 inches in girth.

TLDR: Looks matter to get you in my orbit, but not necessarily for me to want to jump your bones. I don’t know how to rate that importance on a scale of 1-10 since looks and behavior matter to me wrt carnal or sexual “attraction.” I guess looks are a 5 or 6 as far as importance? Essentially don’t be “butt ugly,” don’t be sloppy looking, and don’t be crazily shorter than me is what matters to me when it comes to looks. Outside of those physiological things that get them into my orbit, my “sexy times” meter or my sexual arousal is triggered by how the other person behaves generally (this includes how they choose to style and groom) and interacts with me specifically.

"Chads" actual turn me off, but I digress.

Facial features, hairstyle, beard, muscles, height, skin color, smell, dick size etc.

No specific facial features, hair/skin color, dick size, etc. The only thing I ever preferred about height is taller than me, smell is set as someone who values basic hygiene, muscle wise again strong enough to be able to be rough with me in the right context, prefer facial hair but not required.

Unfortunately the likelihood of finding a good looking man that’s tall, with good D, is very small.

Realistically it matters 5/10.

Women that find a man that’s good looking & tall tend to hold onto them since it’s hard to find them.

Some aspects of appearance are absolute dealbreakers for me while I don’t care about others that much. So I guess looks are pretty important to me.

Dealbreakers: -any facial hair more than stubble -unattractive hair (balding or just an unflattering hairstyle) -significantly overweight -glasses -bodybuilder physique

Nice to have but not a necessity: -a few inches taller than me -dark hair -blue or green eyes -slim -tan

Don’t care about: -penis size -being 6ft or taller

I think attraction is more important than looks. Lots of men are technically “objectively attractive” but i feel nothing towards them. But attraction would be like 10/10 it matters a lot because that will make me want to get to know a man romantically.

I don’t like too muscular, or too much beard. Skinny/lean is what i prefer, and a nice smile. I’m 5.5 and the last man i had sex with was 5’6 or 5’7 at most. But his face was easily a 8-9/10, amazing smile. Plus good style and personality.

Looks are somewhat important to me, you gotta be attracted to your partner. I care more about how he treats me than his appearance. But appearance does not equal hygiene. No matter what your physical looks are, you gotta take care of yourself. I'm happily married, but if I wasn't and I was still out there dating, i would not want a super good looking man. Imo, they cheat more than average looking men (same with wealthy men). Personally, the only physical traits I must have is facial hair, and him to be taller than me. Idc if he's a little overweight, or has imperfections. No one is perfect anyway.

Where are men getting these beliefs about us? There are some really unreasonable women out there who expect crazy things from men. But most of us are down to earth and just want a man to love us, not play games, be faithful, and settle down with us. If you're meeting women who only want a "chad", then go find a woman who wants you for who you are. Why waste time complaining that you're not someone's type? We cannot be everyone's type. We need to find our perfect match.

My husband is a short, chubby, nerdy guy. I chose him because he was smart and funny. I relocated to be with him. I broke up with the guy I was dating when I met him.

There is a threshold. I couldn’t date someone I found physically repulsive. But I definitely didn’t prioritize looks.

I have no idea how to put a number to it.

So far I've ever had 3 crushes. One was at school, another two during my university years and my husband is one of them. My sample size is way too small not only to put a number, but also to figure out what visual traits make me attracted to them. Moreover, I've never experienced attraction "on the spot" and just seeing someone pretty does nothing to me romantically or sexually. I develop romantic interest over time as I get to know a person and we connect emotionally.

My school crush wasn't very tall and had rather simply but nice to look at face. He was mixed and has some Asian features, but overall he's "racially ambiguous". My friends laughed at me for falling for him though and I still think they were full of bullshit for that. He was rather easy to read, kind and caring. He'd carry my bag after school, he stopped smoking during breaks when I asked him, because we were sitting at the same desk and he'd always lend me his jacket/hoodie if I was cold. He also rejected me, but we stayed friends.

My husband is Asian, has pleasant facial features with some asymmetry to them, on a taller side and has a good body (but when we started dating he was extremely skinny). He's kind, genuine, cares about my well-being, we have common interests and plans, we have high compatibility, he's a great lover, he's well-red and he has high emotional intelligence. From the start he was better at communication his feelings than I was. He took time to get to know me and he respected my boundaries. I've felt that I could trust him, so he was my first (and only) lover.

My other crush is a woman to start with, so I'm not sure that describing her appearance would help. She's really pretty though and I'd say she's more beautiful than I am. She's an artist, has a great sense of style and makes people turn their heads. She's also very thoughtful friend and someone who can cheer you up with a few words.

No beard. Very twinkish. Maybe a little shy or awkward. Skinny to toned is nice like they do something but they don't look like they live in a gym. I am not into meatheads. I need to be physically attracted so I would say 8. I’m 5’9 so I wouldn’t date anyone below 5’8. I’m very into fitness so I would like my partner to be the same. I take really good care of my body so I would prefer my partner to look as fit as me but I’m not as picky about that, as long as we can workout together. And this is so superficial but you have to be able to dress at least a little bit lol. But what I find attractive some of my friends don’t! And what they find attractive I don’t find attractive. So I wouldn’t say I go for “chad”, just someone I find facially pleasing and have a spark with! People find different looks attractive.

How do you put a number on it? Is it like 1 means looks don't matter at all, and 10 is like looks are the only important thing? If we're going by that standard, looks are like a 5 - I need to find you attractive but it's not the most or only important thing that makes me want to be with someone.

I've dated guys shorter than me, my height, and a couple significantly taller than me. Varying dick sizes, races, and countries of origin. I've dated some guys who were athletic, and some who weren't. Going by what my friends and family have told me, only 3 of the guys I've dated would be people who would be considered conventionally attractive. And if I have to go by my "ideal" looks-wise (blonde, blue-eyed, just a smidge taller than me), I've only dated one guy like that.

Husband does have a strong jaw line, tho. Nice ass, too.

7 masculine features matter mostly and he has to be at least the same height or taller than me. I don’t know if this counts for the question, but since smell was included I will say that a very deep voice also makes a big difference. Those are the physical features that matter for me.
