Honestly, in a situation like that, I don't. At least not directly. There are so many times I have seen people directly ignore and completely disregard the evidence I show them. It's more effective and easier to not directly engage

It breeds hostility and makes it so hard to change their minds. And it's just awful for mental health. If they can't make themselves happier they'll drag you to their level of misery

This is simply the post-hoc rationalisation when people are challenged on female privilege. "Women's lives are so much harder therefore all the help they get is justified and never enough"

Whilst we as a society continue to fail the poor, it is utterly bizarre to spend any time using the rationalisation that women are poorer than men, or blacks are poorer than whites, and then act like helping black women over white men is somehow equivalent to helping the poor.

I often use AI to search the internet with very complex queries, because standard search engines fucking suck in the age of sponsored search results. And if you know how to format your question correctly, you can almost always get it to spit out a public-facing source online that confirms your point, assuming it's correct.

So I asked my AI of choice a difficult question, namely if black men have demonstrably worse outcomes in the US compared to black women. You should be able to plug these tidbits into your own AI solution with a 'find me links' prompt to drill down into corresponding facts.

Like all rhetoric it's nonsense.

It's such a ridiculous simplification that it becomes entirely meaningless. Life is not a 10-metre hurdle race or whatever this is supposed to be.

In real life many different kinds of people face their own unique problems. Some things are worse for men, and some things are worse for women. This isn't even going into race, or age, or anything else.

Others have posted sources for some.of these problems unique to men, but ultimately there is no point in trying to counter rhetoric with rational arguments. People who fall for rhetoric play by different rules. They care only about what sounds right at first glance or what they believe others believe.

I believe this argument right here is why there is so much animosity between black men and black women. Black women see what other feminists are able to get with their victimhood and so they try to take that back home to use against black men. However black men are practically hunted for sport by the police and society sees more value in putting black men in prison than letting them be free in society. So when black women try to bring the oppressor/oppressed dynamic home it doesn't fly. But black women are still women and they want that victimhood.

For just a couple of examples look at rates of attaining college degrees between black men and women. Rates of home ownership between black men and women. And then answer the question of why is black sperm in such demand that there are regular shortages and women will camp out on the donor websites?

I think these things are part of what cause black men to have more of an out group bias for racial preference than black women in terms of dating and marriage.

I think the biggest issue with liberal feminist discourse that- by definition- is unable to identify class and private property relations as the fundamental problem in society, is that both men and women assume the other gender has more amorphously defined 'power' in society than is true of either. Lots of men genuinely think we're becoming 'gynocentric' and lots of women clumsily mistake the main identifying quality of the ruling class to be maleness instead of private property ownership. They were more or less inextricable once upon a time, but capitalism has burned down that arbitrary wall and now women are very well represented amongst the ruling class. Same could be said of race, telling a dirt poor post-industrial white guy who lives in the same destitute communities as his black neighbors that he has more power than them is so ridiculously tone-deaf and missing a greater force looming over both of them, that it's no wonder it creates reactionary alienation.

Because the brutal reality of life in class society is that men and women are both desperately powerless in ways that are much more the same than they are different. Everybody is being oppressed and forced to endure the same indignities and miseries of capitalist society, and even in the specifically gendered issues faced by women, capitalist society is actively perpetuating, creating, and reproducing the conditions that lead to them. So it's really asinine to pit men and women against each other at all when, not only do we have so much more in common than we do in opposition, but the antagonisms and differences that DO exist in the gender struggle will only ever be finally resolved once capitalism is removed from the equation, and can no longer inhibit the progress of the 'human need over profit' movement.
