I did allow this and had an agreement in writing and parenting app, and after that happened she was toast she could never get anything more then 50% she's been fighting it for 18 months

This set the status quo and precedence for my case, I would allow it do a 223 and set it up on OFW and let her do it and then it's all over if she wants to fight it

She is not nice not amicable or looking out for your best interests or the kids. She is manipulating you and looking out for herself.

Tell her firmly and clearly no. That said tell her you are very willing to work on a parenting plan and proceed with the notes in the plan. Otherwise, she is creating a new status quo.

I wouldn't accept anything you wouldn't be fine with on a permanent basis, if it comes down to it.

Is it what you want? The court will agree to whatever you guys agree to, but make sure you’re seeing your kids the amount you want.

What are the kids doing those days. (School exam day, school off days). What are you missing?

Say you'll think about it. Keep the list and see if there's something up or not. Your past situation should guide you some. Have divorced friends with kids? What is school schd? Just a start, regrettably.

I would say that if what she is proposing is close to what you would like to see as a final outcome, then you are probably safe. I mean, it is perfectly possible to negotiate a divorce at your kitchen table if you are both more or less in agreement with the other.

However, if she is proposing something radically different to what you would like to see, agreeing to it now might risk it becoming status quo and more difficult to overturn. If she is offering two weekends a month and you want 50/50, then I would think twice before agreeing to that, even temporarily.

There may be some pitfall (I am not a lawyer), but I think there is upside potential of working together and coparenting. Starting a fair and agreeable custody plan now can help the kids adjust and remove a fair bit of lawyer time spent trying to get an agreement for one.
