Conversation, seduction etc is all a skill, and you need to be able to put in the effort to become good - which means there will be a long time of such awkward encounters, until one day you notice things start to become easier and enjoyable. You need to put in the groundwork though, it’s unavoidable.

You already know your problem, which is that you don’t have social skills, so you need to do research on how to develop your social skills. There are tons of resources in this sub if you use the search bar and also in the sub’s menu. There are also books on pick up that teach you how to talk to women. But you can’t expect to get good at this if you are lazy and don’t do the work.

When in doubt, follow the old formula. You talk shit , doesn’t matter what it is for a couple of minutes until you get to the hook point. Now, it’s might be not as easy as it sounds to talk for a couple of minutes randomly. That is why you need practice, warm up. Don’t be a lazy bum getting into analysis paralysis. Just get out there and practice

There is nothing wrong with you because you had the balls to approach in the first place, you just need to learn the nuisances.

You could have misread the room. Women will always non verbally signal you in some way as to whether they are open to talk to you or are closed off.

You could have lifted your emotions during the approach and interaction, making the girls feel like deer in headlights, hence uncomfortable. This is the big one because you can be in complete control on the outside, but girls immediately sense your internal emotion. You don't want to feel excited or "giddy" that you are talking to another human just because there is a vagina involved.

If you master outcome independence, you will become internally level and able to make girls feel comfortable talking with you because you will appear preselected by other women and they will feel the need to compete for you.

This may sound crazy to you, but you did well, starting with small talk is excellent to gauge the level of availability of a person for a longer conversation, and these women weren't available, and so you did well by disengaging and walking away.

It seems that your mind is trying to internalize what happened as a huge failure, as a bloodline ending event, as a sign that something is very wrong with you, but try to have a more moderate stance on this, so that you can recover quickly and become ready for more approaches.

Try to imagine your responses and reactions to situations as a sort of needle indicator, try to keep this needle in the middle, the green zone, avoid letting it go to extremes, because it you let it happen, you will incur emotional damage, you will hurt yourself

My favourite opener:

Hi, do you want to go on an adventure?
