Men do not support men. If men supported men, we would have had legal paternal surrender long before legal abortion, and there would be no draft or Selective Service, nor would there be many countries where women are allowed to retire earlier.

In these examples, men are supporting other men because it helps them in some way. Almost like teamwork as opposed to support. If men really supported men, they wouldn’t be so upset at other men who step outside of the manosphere and think for themselves. They belittle and accuse men of being a “white knight” if a man defends a woman against men. Feminist men are seen as pussies and sellouts who just want to get laid. The entire redpill ideology tells men that they’re not good enough to get laid and is just men putting eachother down and telling one another their worth is determined by the amount of romantic and sexual attention they receive.

Men support eachother when it benefits them and their ideals.

The impression I've gotten from people talking about women supporting women seems to be more about women blindly supporting women, no matter what on a social level.

It does feel as though women are far less inclined to acknowledge that a minority of other women can be scummy pieces of shit and are more inclined to defend certain actions or unfair beliefs and values of other women.

Not business and political.

It's actually something I'm somewhat envious of when it comes to how women treat one another. They more often than not always seem to have one another backs. Where as, on a social level, men just don't really care about one another.

I've never, in all my life, seen any of the men I know talk about, purchase, spread of even acknowledge gendered writings of other men. I can not think of one example.

The vast majority of men I know don't even vote. Their interest in politics stretches as far liking facebook posts.

I mean, the trades are mostly men. But I wouldn't have any issue with a girl electrician over a boy one, it's just that there are so few that I'm basically never in a position to hire one.

... No man I know is discussing, exchanging or owning slaves and women. I have no idea where on earth you've gotten this from.

I'm going to stop responding to this list now, as they're all either related to business, media, or entertainment. (And quite frankly, the slave question is insane.) I'd simply say that if we're only looking toward those three, women also spend more on male owned businesses and male lead media. And also vote more than men, for male political candidates.

This is less so men supporting men, more so everyone supporting an extreme minority of extremely rich and powerful men.

Men support women much more than they support other men.

This is a measured thing: men have more empathy to women, than to men. Women have more empathy to women than to men.

Men are discriminated by society and often by laws, by policies of businesses and education institutions , and this is most often driven by men. Because men are readily throwing other men under bus if this fits their personal interests.

Your premise is just confusing. Men have supported each other, yes, but also killed each other. Do you know wars?

Women have always fought to ge the attention of the men who have more to offer. It isn't something new. With the dating apps evolution we just see this more clearly.

Here you also seem to forget that men that you are chasing still have the power. It's an illusion that you support each other. Women will literally sleep with their best friends partner if they see him as a top quality man. The backstabbing is pathetic among women.

This list is extra-ordinarily cherry picked. Men absolutely do NOT across the board support men. Men generally are committed to things like the group, the clan, the community, land, the kingdom, etc. There is far more class solidarity than solidarity generally amongst men.

On top of that men will turn on the next man on a DIME if a woman is involved. There’s tons of videos from across the globe (different cultures different countries) where a woman slaps a man, and no one reacts, then the man slaps the woman back, and he is assaulted by a gang of men.

Patriarchies have always been hierarchical so I disagree.

For the most part men support other men who are in their in-group in the hierarchy of power. Historically men have been very violent towards weaker/“lower” or “outsider” men all the time.

As a consequence of this though, patriarchies benefit from trying to prevent women from supporting each other, because it makes women less dependent on men’s status/power for survival.

If men as a collective wanted to subjugate women and strip them of all rights, and no good men stood up to stop them, we would have a society similar to Afghanistan within a month.

The reason we don't is that men, as a collective, support women enormously.

Most societies throughout history have been gynocentric. Men are expected to provide for and protect women, Often at great sacrifice to men.

It was mostly male politicians who loudly opposed women equally being subject to selective service registration. Similarly, most of the laws that discriminate in favor of women and against men had strong support by male politicians. There has long been a philosophy of women and children first. Men are much more likely to give up their seat for a woman and for another man. Food aid to Haiti was given exclusively to women men Having to send for themselves.

The simultaneously existence of both white knights and the manosphere (and both hating each other on an existential level) disproves the first half of the premise.

Heck, the manosphere itself is an umbrella catch all term in which the various subgroups lumped together tend to hate each other (imagine a graduate of Hustler University and an NEET incel fighting for the same cause, ha!).

I think posts on this subreddit err somewhat when they reduce a very multidisciplinary analytical consideration to just a gender-based analysis. So here for example what is discussed is essentially the holistic development of modern society and it’s probably incomplete to view that through solely the lens of gender.
