First and foremost - She's Californian. 'Nuff said (I know from experience with my recent ex). I've dated all over the U.S., and they're a "special" kind of spiteful.

Second and just as important - If possible, leave social media, or at least block them. Reduce all contact to only what's necessary for kid-centric logistics. Gray-wall ALL other contact with both.

Once a woman feels "scorned", she'll never let it go. What can you do? Rise above. You can't control what they do/say, but you can lead by a better example to your kids by not sinking to their level. When exes are being petty, it's purely to "get back" whatever they feel you "still took" from them (but never consider what they took from you).

Don't give them the satisfaction of reacting. Just live your life, support your kids/focus on your relationship with them, and use your personal time wisely (hobbies, life goals, career goals, etc.).

It is definitely not sane nor normal but I know plenty of those who do such things. It's infuriating cause you feel like someone's trying to force themselves on you by constantly bragging by being associated with you as you moved on and want to be left alone.

What's the psychology behind it? Probably a lack of identity and social recognition. They became known as "your wives" and once such status started bringing them fame, they overtook it as their actual social introduction.

You must have been pretty popular with ladies when they still keep trying to live off your fame and brand like it's a trophy.

Yeah, dude, I think it's normal. Whatever faults she saw in you, real or imaged, probably more imagined, she hyped them up and used them as justification to do whatever she did and to cope with your falling out. That way she can just blame you and never reflect on their decisions and behavior. She'll be taking that trash long after your gone and or dead.

I knew one old lady who when I challenged her said "he was crazy, I had to leave him. That's why my kids don't have a dad and we struggled. One time I even caught him moving pieces of furniture around at midnight. Totally nuts and unstable. I made the right decision." Sure thing lady. That's what you're got, decades after you left him, after he's dead, you're alone, and your kids grew up fatherless and messed up.

Everyone always tells me with utmost seriousness never to bad mouth my baby mama, as if it was one of the ten commandments and there's nothing worse that I could do to our kids. But it's like, are you for real, give me a fucking break. I've never really said anything bad about her like that, go tell it to her. She only slandered me to every single person we know, character assassinated me in every way possible dragging my name through the mud, ruining life, lying to CPS, lying on the witness stand. Talking shit about me right to my face. But it's us that are supposed to temper our words. Right
