Wife just side swiped me with wanting a divorce, she’s been awful to me. Contempt, hostility and a real bad attitude.

Refused to attend counselling. I find this very demeaning and sad for our children.

She financially abused me for decades and was mean with her money, never paying anything towards household bills or sharing financial responsibility. She would never even show me her payslips.

Alienated her family against me and did her best to do the same with the kids. I really feel there’s a lot of Narc characteristics. She’s also not the sharpest knife on the drawer but she’s very attractive, this has a significant impact on her level of entitlement.

Anyway I’m totally in “Fuck You” mode, I feel really hard done by and want to mess up her little plan, if she could spirit me away in the morning she would. I’d say she’d like it wrapped up in 6 months, depriving our children of their family home in a crucial stage or their lives.

So, I’m going to stall the divorce and drag it out to piss her off. What could be done in a year I’ll make into three and maybe more.

For me that means more time in the home that I paid for with my amazing children.

Maybe the wife’s anger will fizzle out, maybe she’ll move in with an AP (none yet that I’m aware of) maybe she’ll get a diagnosis of life threatening cancer or even better, be hit by a bus.

Anyone else drag out a divorce for years to piss the other side off?
