This is not something new. Anyone who is familar with sex selective IVF knows that parents overwhelmingly prefer female babies here in the western countries. Even in IVF subreddits and forums people are openly justifying not wanting to have sons.

A recent Economist article also pointed about this openly and how they felt world would be better if there were less men and more women.

In an article by Sherman (2011), he reported that in 1970's a biologist Ronald Ericsson found a way to separate the sperm carrying the Y chromosome from those carrying the X, finding a way to determine the sex of the child.

By the 1990s, Ericsson reported that couples in clinics requisting this technique were requesting more girls than boys and in some clinics the ratio was as high as 2 girls for 1 boy.
Feminist Hanna Rosin also cited a new sperm selection method called "Microsort" where girls were requested 75% of the time.
A 2011 New York Times piece also focuses on a technique called twin reduction, where one twin is aborted. Usually the twin to be aborted is chosen at random, unless they are of two different sexes. It is discovered most opt for girls.

A study done by Baccara et al. (2010) with a team of economists from Caltech, NYU, and LSE found that boys were singificantly less likely to be adopted. Amongst non African American babies, girls had a 11.5% chance of adopted as compared to 7.9% for boys, about 1.45 times as likely.

Even Steve Jobs was refused adoption by the family that had already accepted it after they found out he was a boy.

Societies like this will crumble. Men also need to stop building roads, houses, our infrastructure, etc, if we are “not of value” like so many people are saying these days. In China boys were preferred over girls. Decades of one child policy later the country now has a gender imbalance of 112 boys : 100 girls. The consequences are significant, mostly in the form of hyper competition between men. Many men are unmarriable because there simply aren't enough women.

An oversupply of girl infants is not doing them justice. They will face harsher competition, where being average or decent isn't good enough.

im wondering if any of this at all is linked to the evolutionary reasons for less boys being born during hard times due to them having a lower chance of survival and because its takes way more resources and work to have a son who goes on to pass on his genes than it does a daughter ( women were historically twice as likely to have children as men). maybe women know that men arent exactly taking any Ws right now and instinctively know it would not be a good time for a son if she had one? just an idea

Doing this creates the same problem. You dont make it easier for your child but harder for your child by pushing 1 gender over the other.

There is always a switch often by unnaturally that men have all the choices and then women have all the choices. Mostly after a big shift like war or femin. Or big viruses or other normal part of life that messes with the balance of things.

Why in a even society women often have the power. But in a time of chaos and struggle men have the power. So women mostly hold the power more in a stable soft environment. In chaos and struggle. Men hold the power.

What you can see happening now cause a big global recession or big shift. Make women not be the price anymore but men and they being able to set more the toon and conditions.

Thats been the case. Why gender never stays on top it switches power back and forth keeping the balance. The more the balance switches to far it swaps back to the other side.

Its the natural cause of all things balance. And in times of strive and hardship. Or in time of rebuilding men hold the power.

And killing one gender to only want the other gender artificially. Creates hard times and creates imbalance.

China is now seeing the bride prices and big cultural pushes dissolve even do there more men then women. But cause economics is so dire there. So chaos. Women on mass getting abandoned or ignored.

So even with more men then women in hard times power dynamics often switches fast.

And the burden of performance switches more to the other side.

Same how it was in the 50ths to 70ths cause of the war and the rebuild times. Why history is important it helps you also understand in big ways how the past present and future will pan out. Cause there often many cases and examples of similar things happening and the cause and effect of those actions.

But a big imbalance will create hard times. Job imbalance and relationship imbalance.

So even if you take away the immoral part or act of clear sexism its a act that actively devalues your sides value over time. But left often do things that hurt more there own side in roundabout ways so thats actually nothing new. Cause with some logic and forth sight. Its easy to see cause and effect. But you can't do that when you only logic point is based on feelings not logic or facts.

Why the lefts worst enemies is the left it self. By many many reasons easy to explain if you take the raw feelings away from it
