They like the idea of being completely rational and unemotional. The "facts over feelings" mentality. They use rationality like an aesthetic. Because they think men should be unemotional. They just aren't very smart, they are very emotional and at least half of them don't know how to read.

Because in their rationale, evolutionary psychology (a widely discredited and pseudo-scientific field) gives them de facto absolute explanations on why a woman behaved in the way that she did without ever considering her agency as a human being. I think it's basically mental gymnastics of them attempting to make rejection feel less personal.

As bad as the back in prehistoric times .... - thing. A. We have way to little evidence to be sure how societies, families etc worked back than.

And they pretend that all prehistoric societies function es the same which is highly unlikely Even if we could confidently say Neandertaler in the rhine region lived like that, their society was structered like this and their believe system was as followed. This doesn't have to be automatically true for people living in south america. Also they reduce a huge amount of time to auch small findings.

Thirdly even if we haven't changed genetically much the living situation has and so the requirements and favourable Attributes have.

Because they're trying to find rational reasons to justify their beliefs. And like a lot of good propaganda it has a grain of truth.

Our genes and evolutionary history almost certainly influence our behavior. There's two big caveats on that. 1) Humans are different than other animals. Just because we are influenced by our genes one way doesn't mean we will act on it. 2) There's been a lot of generations since "the caveman days". We've evolved since then. Agriculture has changed us significantly.

I wish I had more time to go into detail this morning. I actually find evolutionary psychology fascinating but it often crosses the line to pseudoscience.

The short version of what I'd say is that evolutionary psychology and genetics don't say what redpill says it does. In many ways it says the opposite. Our greatest strength is our ability to cooperate, work together, and generally be social.

Because it’s an easy way to:

1) deflect blame from themselves when their relationships fail (“she didn’t leave me because I was a bad partner, she did it because [insert alleged evolutionary reason here]”) and avoid accountability

2) justify why they’re single when they don’t want to be (“it’s not that there’s anything wrong with me or that I treat women like dirt, I just can’t meet a good woman because [insert alleged evolutionary reason here]”)

3) dehumanize and degrade women (“no matter how great you are, she’s never gonna be faithful because of [insert alleged evolutionary reason here]”

4) make their misogyny sound “scientific” instead of sexist (“oh, it’s not that I hate women, I just realize they can’t help acting that way because of [insert alleged evolutionary reason here]”)

Because they have trauma that makes them hate themselves, but they can't figure out why they hate themselves bc the reasons are usually complex, repressed, and rather experiential more than logical.

Redpill comes in and tells them they're all losers, makes up this hierarchy of masculinity and evolutionary fitness, and tells them they're at the bottom.

Now they feel like they have a reason to be angry at themselves and a framework to consider themselves losers.

Evolution in particular is appealing because it has an air of science, rationality, and ruthlessness that fits their view of the world.

Other memes are spread to other people who hate themselves which may appeal to them more. You aren't praying hard enough. Your brain chemistry is just out of whack. You aren't taking care of your partner or parents or children well enough. You aren't climbing the corporate ladder hard enough. Etc. The form it takes will depend on your background, identity, other beliefs, etc, but the function it serves is to give structure, rules, and a sense of control and agency, to emotions whose origin you don't understand.

Personally, I would want some specifics for who is saying these, I won't deny that there are many creators who do misunderstand evolutionary psychology and attempt to present themselves as subject matter experts when they are just echoing another creator.

So I will take each of the comments, one by one and say if it fits with concepts within evo psych or not.

PREFACE 1 - The biggest of all these comments is making absolutist predictions. Legitimate evolutionary psychologists do not make causal predictions because there are very few ethical forms to perform sexual experiments so it must be all correlational designs - meaning you cannot assign cause. Statements should be more/less likely - not will.

" If you don't have options, your women will cheat on you for xyz evolutionary reason "

This is related to abundance mindsets, and women do not cheat on men simply if they seem too eager for a relationship. So this statement is false. Where having options would be helpful is creating a softer landing if a relationship fails. If you are of either having physical attraction, strong social skills, or high socioeconomic status it will be easier for you to attract multiple women at once.

" Her cheating on you is your fault because of xyz evolutionary reason "

I have heard the first part of the statement more from those against the red pill than those for the red pill. For example I have heard many people say if a man gets cheated on its his fault for not being in tune with his partner's emotional needs. Now what the red pill does say is when a man loses frame in a relationship (frame being the perspective in which the relationship is defined from) a women might be inclined to look for other sexual options, but it is not necessarily true.

" Women are always looking for best man "

This is true, however, there are much contextual dependencies and therefore any man can fit it in some way or another. The contextual dependencies are determined by what is considered great in the environment where she is seeking the man. In a Church its demonstration of community service. In a night club it's height and physical attraction. In dating apps its economic potential.

" if you want top-tier women, then your game should be 10/10 or you should have high status "

Here's the thing what most men will define as 'top-tier' women other men would disagree. Most red pillers define a top-tier women as generally submissive, but also willing to say no to sex which is a contradictory position to hold.

I will say that most women will not take average men serious for long-term relationships, it is the number one reason why the marriage rate is declining in most countries.

For example if a man makes $50,000 a year, which is the median income for men. Only men in their 60s have a median income above $60,000 a year. Many modern women will call him "broke," so if you want a long term committed relationship as a man, you typically need to make 1.33X more than your partner.

Some will debate that saying 50% of marriages have women as the primary income earners, which is a misquoted stat from a Pew Research study. The study found 55% of marriages have men as the primary income earners, with 29% of marriages where men and women made the same. Only 16% of marriages have women as primary income earners.

" The dude with better game than you will take her and it's your fault "

This is a likely a variation of "alpha seed, beta need" but mate-switching hypothesis is even debated within the field. Most women in relationships are not actively seeking other men. Also I do not know where you got the "and it's your fault" from. Where "alpha seed, beta need" comes from is to ease the understanding of women's dualistic dating problem. They want a physically attractive man to make sex more enjoyable, but they also want a man who is willing to help them form a partnership. Very few men are both highly physically attractive and making $100,000+ a year, if you add in height as an element you are looking at maybe 2% of the male population. What the red pill says is a women will spend her 20s messing around with the hot guys, but as her window for having children shortens she will look for more economically successful men around the time she turns 30.

" Women are only attracted to guys with game "

I have never heard a single red piller say this, it's a three-legged stool Money, Muscles, Game. If you are strong in all three you can attract any woman you want.

Money = socioeconomic status. Muscles = physical fitness. Game = social skills, charisma, competence.

Low interpersonal and intrapersonal intelligence. Shallow people give shallow explanations.
Determinism is an outlook typically adopted by someone who has a defeatist attitude and who wants control and is scared of the unknown. People would rather deal with a predictable outcome rather than unknown one, even if it's shitty.

There might be an ounce of truth in some evolutionary explanations, but that's not all there is to humans and it's not their primary motivator by a landslide. It's a reductionist approach done by people who lack insight and profundity.

The science of understanding behavior is Psychology, and it always had problems to predict human patterns. Evolutionary Psychology has been quite successful on that (so they think), even if not perfect, compared to other branches or theories
