I think the issue is the reasoning.

If a woman doesn't want a virgin guy because he is unwanted trash - that's the same thing as with men who don't want sluts because they are ran through. If the reason is that she feels like that won't be good experience for her - then it's different story. Sadly women's pleasure in sex is really dependent a lot on male performance. With men it's not to that extend. They like enthusiastic woman, but if they got starfish they would still enjoy just not that much. I am personally wary of virgins because they usually have really unrealistic expectations and reality crashes them and i don't want to be "reality" here. And i'm saying that as someone who had fantasies about fucking virgins specifically. It's just not how i imagined.

Same with men. There are some who say that they don't want sluts because they view sex as something special. I wouldn't understand that, but i don't have to. I respect that someone has different values than me, and they are free to look for someone compatible. I am fine if a man says that i don't want sluts because i'm insecure. I see that as a choice, insecurities are more important, they have that right, i have no issues with that. Just as i don't have issues with men who specifically want sluts because they want to have that experience.

There will always be judgy people. Can't change that. What should stop though, are those being dicks about it. You can of course turn down people you don't want, but there's no need to insult the ones who haven't done anything to you either. I will say, I'm not a fan of the ones who are promiscuous themselves but then turn around and want to turn down promiscuous women. Like it's ok for you to get around but not women? That, and the ones who are hypocritical in the sense that they want to be promiscuous, but it hasn't happened for them, so they're judging promiscuous women out of jealousy. If you wanted to and couldn't, but aren't being a dick about it and simply want someone with your actual lived level of experience, then I won't judge on that front. It's only when you're being a dick towards them for no reason that I'll judge.

It's like this:

It's under this assumption that sex is done to women. Not with women. That our vaginas are supposed to be factory vacuum sealed for your pleasure and no one else could have seen or touched it because it's yours now. That we were not a whole living breathing/existing human before this man entered our life. And our humanity may have involved sex because sex is a thing living beings experience. That we must have lived our life for this person we don't know haven't met yet and remained pure and chaste and not have any experiences of our own.

Yes. There is risk involved with sex. But most sexually active people are responsible. Wear protection. Have regular check ups sexual health is just as important as anything else. Use contraception. To mitigate these risks.

So with men demeaning and stressing out and concerning himself over a woman's past. It says a few things. One: that he views her as an object. It's his toy and he didn't like that someone else played with it even though she was a living breathing human before she knew he even existed. Two. He is insecure. And yes insecurity is a real thing and it sucks. But he will project his insecurities on to her. And make them HER problem. And Three. He has older views about sex and sexuality so he is religious and patriarchal. Which is a huge red flag.
