Let that shit come at its own pace.. I’m in the exact same position and I’ve not had sex or physical contact with a woman in 5 years (part of the last two years of the relationship) and now on my own.. it sucks being alone sometimes but it’s better then stressing about if you’re good enough or if you an trust the girl won’t screw u over and you need to have your wits when out looking for love.. cause that shit will creep up on ya. I've found that I've been so faithful not even checking out chicks for the entire time my wife and I were together before she decided to split.

I haven't felt right for the longest time but I swear to God last year right when I was coming out after about a year and a half after the split women were literally throwing themselves at me it was crazy I've never experienced anything like these new chicks anybody under 30 is just a freak and awesome. Hinge was pretty good for me, in the last year I’ve gone out with 10+ women. Some of them were super cool and great in bed. Some were cat fishing with old photos and look busted af in person. Bumble had ZERO matches with same photos and profile for a damn year! Had one date off Tinder that was a night of cheek clappin’. Tried FB but nadda for some reason for maybe 2-3 months. In a city with a 30 mile radius population of ~1M.

The apps worked great for me. Hookups won’t get you over the pain! But they are still fun for a bit! Just work on you mostly and if you feel like getting out there and meeting women go for it!

I had a lot of success with online dating, specifically Facebook dating. I tried Tinder, Hinge, Bumble but quickly learned they just try and get you to pay higher and higher fees for matches. Total scam. Stick with Facebook dating. Worked wonders for me as a newly single 45m.

I will tell you the hookups will bring temporary relief but absolutely will not take the pain. Pain will go away in time.

What you need to be aware of is that these women will bring stress, chaos, and potentially more pain if you're not careful.

Be sure to let them know you're casual dating and not exclusive with anyone yet.

I ended up meeting the woman I'm with now through a friend. Both of us divorced, kids same age, and neither of us ever want to marry again. Both have our own places and it's been really nice.

At the time, I jumped on all of the apps: I went out with any woman who would go out on a date with me. (Unless they had some obvious fatal flaw)

I met some duds. Met some nice chicks. It was a lot of fun.

Apps. Hinge worked best for me. Got lots of dates and enjoyed them all even when it didn’t work out. Just have to not take it personally if you don’t get a ton of matches. That’s just part of the process.

I’d recommend against online dating. 80% of guys don’t get any matches and unless you really study how to make your profile, you most likely wont get any. This will make you feel like shit and right now that’s not what you need as it’s not the truth. Men just don’t get matches on online dating. I recommend getting to be comfortable alone.
