There’s a growing number of young men joining Red Pill, Incel, and other “Manosphere” movements when they’re not even out of high school. Young women are becoming more misandrist and man fearing than ever, largely thanks to the “feminist” (read: not actually feminist, just man hating) movement.

All the most ridiculous sound bites from the most outrageous, misogynistic manosphere content creators and misandrist “feminists” that go viral don’t help, either. People are being radicalized against each other before they’re of an age to know how to discern false, divisive rhetoric.

A lot of the manosphere movements rely on grim stats about young men’s dating lives that are understandably scary. When we start looking at stats for people in their 30s+, though, there are suddenly a lot more men in relationships.

Is the *whole* problem that women find a huge percentage of men undatable, to the point that young men should be prepared for that reality? Or is it something more nuanced?

Because we also have issues like prolonged adolescence into early adulthood, coddled 25 year olds, an incredibly stressful cost of living, a lot of kids lacking social skills, young adults living their lives online, a huge rise in mental and physical health issues in young people, etc. Then we have media pressures to enjoy our youth and sleep with whoever we want before settling down.

I’m older now. People are settling down. The “forever single” male friends are pairing off. Formerly picky female friends just want a nice stable guy to come home to. People are done with the partying and casual sex. Most of us are married or in serious relationships. I truly wonder what my friend group would look like if we were all radicalized to hate each other since high school.

I don’t discount that things look hopeless for a lot of young people, especially young men. But are these high schoolers and early college age kids shooting themselves in the foot by writing off relationships before they’ve even started dating? Are any of you with more extreme views (on either side) worried about what kids are hearing? Or do you think we’re just preparing them for reality?
