Idk if it’s binary about into you or not. There’s a spectrum with no on one end and yes on the other. My rationale is that there are some pretty attractive girls who may not give you much to work with that are worth working for. If you’re not satisfied with what’s easy to you work harder. And the process of converting someone is more fun than just going for something easy for you.

I’m not even that good at game and I’ve had multiple instances where I kissed a girl, she rejected and I stayed cool and later kissed and hooked up with her and she was obviously down. One of my buddies who did this to meet his girlfriend told him she admired his persistence. It’s not a matter of actual resistance sometimes (disclaimer, you need to know the difference, don’t be a retard), it’s just her wanting to feel like she’s not “easy”, especially some more inexperienced girls aren’t used to guys trying to escalate early on in dating. Or maybe she’s not sure of you yet.

Pretty much every woman is a challenge. There’s a resistance and suspicion, at the least. A guy who hasn’t learned to push through is a guy who has no dates, except those that fall into his lap.

On the other hand, there’s a fairly clear limit to when you should stop pushing. When she closes down, when she’s obviously looking for ways to escape, when she’s saying nice things so you’ll leave her alone without throwing a tantrum, then you need to stop, relax, and go do something else.

It’s all about actually paying attention to her, while you’re interacting with her. And that’s scary and emotionally vulnerable, so guys tend to avoid it, even though it’s the path to centered confidence

If I can tell a woman isn’t interested in me I usually lose attraction for her almost immediately. However, I’ve never found one of those women you’re talking about who’s instantly attracted to me. My natural assumption as to why is that I’m lacking something, which is why I’ve been focused on self improvement.

It depends on what you mean by resistance. There are many, many forms of resistance.

You make eye contact and she breaks it.

You talk to her but she doesnt engage much

You ask her a question and she shrugs

You touch her arm and she doesnt touch you back

You touch her arm and she slaps you and say dont ever touch her again

These examples are not all the same so it's impossible to answer the question without guessing at your definition.

I think the "advice" has thankfully died down over the past several years, but there was a meme that was floating around in the 2010s regarding 'being persistent'—I think some men unfortunately internalized that far too strongly.

The other explanation would be that some men have oneitis / limerance, and they just can't shake the desire they have for one specific woman.
