If you do been and if she does agree, then realize that you won't have the relationship that you had before. You'll be completely subservient to whatever she wants. If you belittle yourself, then you give her all of the power, you'll have changed the dynamic and it'll be even worse than whatever it was before. If you want her back, you've got to ignore her and better yourself. Make yourself more attractive. Feel better about yourself. Be more confident about yourself. It's a position of confidence and strength that's attractive, not a position of desperation and need. Be a strong you first.

I’ve said this before, but don’t beat yourself up over the previous begging. You will always be able to say you begged for her to keep the family together. You tried your best. She will never be able to say daddy didn’t care or try. Begging doesn’t work but then again playing hard to get as they are walking out the door has only a hair of a better chance of working, but that single percentage point is not worth losing the moral high ground. So you did good by begging. Your ex wife knows. Any additional begging doesn’t strengthen this narrative any further.

Five years out and I feel mostly fine about the way things ended up. The one thing, though, that still makes me sick to my stomach is thinking about how I begged and pleaded my cheating ex to give the marriage a second chance. There is no way to go back and do things over, but if there was, I would never debase myself like that.

At the time I felt divorce was unsurvivalable and that it would be horrible for my daughter to have her family broken up. Now years later, I have around 75% parenting time, I'm caught back up financially, and have a better relationship with my kid than ever. We've visited dozens of countries together in those five years and there is no longer a brooding, angry person making messes around the house and punching holes in the doors in fits of rage.

Keep your self-respect man. You'll make out just fine.

Two scenarios:

Mostly likely she’ll say no and you’ll just feel bad about yourself.

Unlikely scenario is that she does come back. And then what? I don’t know your relationship, but she’ll know you’ll always beg for her back, you’ll always forgive her, you’ll aways take the blame. Again, I may be projecting, you need to think about what it might look like to be the dog that catches the car.

Idk how fresh this is and I was once in your shoes but begging actually will push them further away. They will also know they have control over you and they feed off of that. Ik it’s hard but begging is not the answer. Your best bet is to act like you’re fine and to start working out some, even if it’s just doing push ups at home. Start eating better also. I am sorry you’re goin through this. It’s been 3 years for me now and I think about it every single day, what should have been and what could have been. It will get easier over time to get over her. Maybe check into some therapy also. Again, I am sorry this happened.
