Well frankly there are going to be 2 main groups. Those that are actually interested in the hobby as it exists and then you have the "it exists and is popular so it must make space for me and change to be welcoming to me".

And then you will have "because my partner is in it" group which might overlap with group 2 to a degree.

they are hypocritical, like little girls wanting to play with the boys. We had a little girl in my neighborhood that claimed that my son was pointing a toy gun at her an made her feel 'uncomfortable'. Of course it was pure BS. This little girl and her mother had fights with every family in the neighborhood. This girl she just wanted to play with the boys but the boys wanted nothing to do with her because she was bossy and annoying. Typical 'empowered' woman.

But then women fight tooth and nail to have their own 'safe' spaces with no men allowed, like women only bars and such. Oh the hypotenuse.

Some women are innately resentful of anything that distracts male attention from them (i.e. they see it as encouraging men to decenter women). They invade the hobby space in order to "re-center" women. A similar, but softer, version of this is that some women just authentically like male attention so they go to "where all the boys are."
When the hobby becomes a big business, there's a financial incentive to become involved. When people can become famous and prominent by attaching themselves to a specific hobby, there's a social incentive to become involved (an incentive that increases if a woman position herself as "one of the only women involved in this space" because society sees that as impressive/special/admirable).
When a hobby is full of low-social-status men yet gets big it short-circuits the lizard brains of some people, some women included. This particular type of woman tries to destroy that hobby basically because the innate human instinct to "ostracize losers from the tribe" is being aggravated by the paradox they see ("how can this thing be BIG AND PROMINENT when its full of ICKY STICKY NERDS?!?").
Feminist theory says that male spaces are where "the patriarchy" is fermented. As such, it encourages women to go into these spaces to "disrupt the patriarchy" by putting those men under female supervision. In practice, this provides ideological cover for the above reasons.

So we have four reasons: instinctual desire for attention/desire to monopolize attention, self-interest, desire to destroy "loser male" things as a way to slake an innate desire to ostracize loser males, and ideological radicalization.

I come to this sub because I'm tired of listening to toxic feminist and being attacked. I also hope that I can learn from real men what issues they are facing so that I can advocate for men's rights in the real world. I would never show up to a place where it was exclusively a men's only establishment. Unfortunately, feminist have already taken those away from you and I find that completely wrong. Because we don't all hate men or spit out that ridiculous rhetoric. I grew up with older brothers, I've worked in male dominated industries, I've worked in all-male offices, so I have predominately male hobbies. I'm more at ease around men and I've never had any issues hanging out with men.

Envy and Pride are the bane of all sins and when it comes to these agendas, it's the root core of it. And if it's anything women hate about men just getting together and having fun in their own spaces is really just a crapton of envy because they know they can't have that AND justify their personal bias and reservations without leaving that behind so they HAVE TO have it where "I'm being oppressed and excluded" is really just them saying "I know if I'm nice and I ask to join that'll make me look weak and destroy my illusion of power so I need to make a show to justify it and bully them into letting me in"

If that doesn't work, they make their own spaces and their own things where they basically copy the good parts that work about those things men enjoy and they inject a crapton of rules and propaganda.

So if guys like Blue 🔵 and we have fun with blue and talk blue all day, they can't handle that because people should like Red 🔴 so they bully their way into blue and change everything to fit their desires and they sell it back to you like "Blue 🔴" and suddenly Blue sucks now and no one, not even them get into it and Blue dies and fades into obscurity.

Well, the patriarchy "exists" in the bonds between men, so if you want to smash the patriarchy you have to go where men form those bonds. Hence why feminists are so insistent on getting on getting women in there to disrupt the bonding.

There's also tomboys who are genuinely interested in the hobbies these communities form around. They aren't really a problem but can be hard to differentiate from the feminists. That's one of the reasons the can get flack when joining a new community.

Take a look at these stats from Pew Research, about dating in the US. The real world actions of human women do not match the angry online rhetoric in dating (or in anything else, as you identified). Women are not "choosing the bear" on average. People who say that are talking out of their ass.

More women under 30 are dating than men AND less identify as lesbian than men who identify as gay. They are dating men.

There is probably a couple of rationales. Some may want to intrude because they feel that they are being left out of something that they many want/need to know? And others may share the interest?

Mens shed - men tinkering together, mens rotary - men fundraising together ? Mens gyms- men sweating together ?

What are we calling predominantly mens interests etc ? Often it depends on the ideology. If rotary is about community building and fundraising - why need it be gendered? If its about strengthening mens networks- maybe then gendering it is better ?

Similar to the “mothers groups”
That “traditionally were for “mothers to bond about the trials of early parenting and breastfeeding now accept men (fairly) into their ranks. Yes- things have need to transform
