The problem is you assume women pick "objectively" good guys to mate with. I'm not saying most women do this, but there is a sizable amount of women who pick scum guys to mate with. Just look at the rate of single motherhood.

In my opinion, in societies where a woman's parents pick a mate for her, they make MUCH more level headed choices for them.

Also, we do not live in a world pre-birth control. Sex doesnt necissarily lead to reproduction anymore.

It is a good thing and it isnt.

The problem is a large chunk of feminists told men that "they wanted to end gender roles! It helps men too!". This kinda implies that there will be a path for lesser socioeconomic men to family, romance, sex, etc. The stay at home dad viability thing seems to be applicable to a much smaller amount of men than stay at home mom viability for women. Thats pickiness, and kinda needs to change if feminists are correct that "its all a social construct!"

Men and women evolve concurrently at the same time. If we consider women's pickyness to be an extrema, men are sitting at the other extrema. If you bring women back to the center, men would have evolved to be more around the center as well.

As a result, if women were less picky, our specie would have evolved toward more blurry definitions of masculinity and femininity, with men being less sexual and competitive as a result. And it would have been still fine. We would maybe even have it better than now, we would maybe have never had great ambitions and never left the small tribe level. There would be no planet-destruction issue or overpopulation.

Women are picky but that doesn’t really matter outside of modern civilizations where human nature is suppressed.

In nature, both men and women choose. If women were the choosers throughout human existence, human sexual dimorphism would be similar to peacocks, but that’s not the case.

I think the problem most people have is that the criteria they choose with.They don't pick the smartest ,nicest guy nor the bravest most responsible guy.The pick the one most likely to cheat not give a fuck and to be honest usually dumbest (high intelligence is usually correlated with romantic failure I think).Idiocracy is probably a prophecy not a comedy :p .Plus all the other stuff others have said: population replacement,single motherhood etc.

Yes, women choose. Everyone knows this. What the red pill points out is that they make poor choices.

Some are like a kid in a candy shop and must taste all of them.

Some of them, entitled by their almost limitless choices, choose a male they can control. This type of male is a follower, and usually a bit dumb and/or lazy. But hey, he goes to work everyday and doesn't cause her much trouble.

And some of them just choose the prettiest one.

None of the above strategies are any good for the long-term growth of humans and society. It's essentially a race to the bottom.

If they chose wisely they would have to learn how to be negotiable and know how to submit and learn how to follow. Almost none of them want to do that. Because it's hard. Women don't like difficulties. They choose the easiest most comfortable path. and this also gets downloaded to the next generation.

Way to go ladies.

Women aren't "picky" per se. They just go on the pill then hook up with fun guys from bars that they aren't interested in dating seriously.

In a magical world where we had a matriarchy but no birth control or abortion, then women would be picky.
