The thread earlier about nagging had me thinking. Someone posted saying that if a woman finds their man attractive, they won't nag them because they'd be too busy being head-over-heels for them. However, I can't imagine myself being interested in a woman who feels that strongly about me.

As a guy, naturally I want a girl who I think is a good catch. Generally this would be someone who I view as a better than or equal to myself. However, women also want men who they view as either equal to or better than their selves.

I've noticed that as I've gotten my shit together over the years, the quality of women that have attracted my attention has risen as well. For example, becoming financially literate has made me value financial literacy in a partner, whereas before I hadn't; or going to law school as made me value a certain level of career in a partner that I previously hadn't.

So if we're constantly looking for someone more, how do relationships even work? If the women who I attract are in my view under me, I won't be interested in them, and if the women who I am interested in view me as under them, they won't be interested in me... right?
