Everybody has always wanted the whole package, and everybody settles. What we're seeing with the internet is that people can be more public about their idea of what the whole package is, it lets us read their minds a bit. If you were to ask a man what his ideal wife would be, it would sound pie-in-the-sky ridiculous and laughable. Same goes for women. Yes she wants a tall guy with a good physique, good income, and a good personality who facilitates her ideal lifestyle. Would wouldn't want that?

Any slobbering half-brained woman can tweet this shit from their couch and have an army of other women at her side to make fun of all the triggered fragile reply guys. So why not? It's an easy ego boost. But look at who most women end up with, or are marrying. They're settling, my god are they settling, so stop getting all bent out of shape.

As somebody from eastern Europe that has lived 4 years in LA, I can tell you that theres a huge difference in the dynamics between men and women in the different cultures. First I wanna note that in LA, despite the fact that its filled with models and whatnot, I am deemed as more attractive than I am in central/south-east europe (partially because theres just much more averagely attractive women here than in LA) but also, men just have higher standards, both for the women they go after but also for themselves.

Everytime i go back and forth between the US and Europe I notice that the men in Europe actually care about how they look, and put much more effort into developing a personal style (even if the style is horrid, they still dont just what whatever). I honestly think a lot of the red pill doesnt exactly apply the same way to different cultures across Europe. I think if men in the US raised their standards for both themselves and for the people they're pursuing, there would be a much more equal playground. Like, where I'm from, even if you're a hot girl, rejection is something that is very much a possibility, and while looks are important, personality is definitely something people look at too, moreso than I would say people consider in the US. Just my 2 cents, from my limited experience.

This is true, but not for the reasons you're articulating.

In ye olden times, men were thirsty dudes - every bit as horny as today. But there was no internet, society didn't like casual sex so it was waaaaaaay more discreet and much harder to find, birth control wasn't nearly as plentiful or effective so premarital sex had a larger chance of pregnancy than today, and women were a lot more financially dependent on men.

Back in ye olden days, a man could be a normal guy with a job and he'd end up with a wife.

Today, women aren't financially dependent on men and casual sex is okay. In fact, a casual phase is even encouraged as some kind of beneficial rite of passage for girls.

So women get to be picky and entitled. They don't need men for money any more and don't get shamed for having premarital sex, so they can just have casual sex with the ones they want and worry about marriage a lot later in life.

This is mostly the fault of men, true, but not because men are any more thirsty than before. It's because men invented Tinder and moved women into the workforce. And these aren't necessarily bad things, but there were side effects.

Let's say 100% of men secretely conspire against women and refuse any contact that isn't initiated by women... that is women do all the approaching and all the work tied to approaching. Would women start to be creepy towards men and appear thirsty? I'd say probably yes. You have the moral high ground then. If you get approached at places that you personally find inappropriate - and you will - you can just write it off as them being creepy, desperate or thirsty. If you get approached you can define what an appropriate approach is.

The problem is the 20/80 rule. Most males (bottom 80%) fight for a few women (bottom 20%), while top 20% males do nothing and anyway fuck most women (top 80% )

I think it's a little more complex than that. What you said is true, but also.. Women are the gatekeepers of sex. Nowadays, getting sex from some girls is as easy as talking to them for a little bit (for alfa males especially. It's why the pareto principle is returning). So men, who are in fact more direct and usually the ones approaching, get way more results with simply that than they would have when people still believed sex was for marriage.

Eh, I think both are to blame. Men, for essentially spamming women, and women for buying into the spam.

The spam analogy is very apt. When it cost a postage stamp to mail someone a spam, you got much less of it, and a lot more was actually targeted at what might interest you, and was well designed to get your attention. But once spam became free, you got inundated with tons of spam, most of which didn't even have correct spelling or complete sentences. That's essentially what lots of men do now. They swipe and send out a "hey" to every single woman they come across, and then wait and see who bites. After all, it doesn't cost them anything (not even the psychic cost of being rejected, like you'd face if you had to approach someone IRL).

But I also think women are to blame for letting all that spam go to their heads. Just you because you have a bunch of followers on instagram, or thirsty dudes swiping and saying "hey" doesn't make you any more valuable than me being "selected" by a Nigerian Prince to help launder his money. No guy says "look at all these emails I get with porn star-hot women just dying to meet me! I must be a stud!!! Why are all these IRL women rejecting me? If I'm not a catch, why are these hundreds of [fake] women sliding into my inbox every day???"

I actually laughed the first time a girl talked proudly about how many guys swipe right on her. I asked her "You do know most guys swipe right on every picture, yeah?" That doesn't mean she was worthless, it just meant she shouldn't base her worth on how many swipes she got from guys.

So yes, guys should stop texting "please send bobs and vagene". And women should stop measuring their worth based on those texts.

PS. I'm not saying women should not feel pride about their own worth. Just that it shouldn't come from how many likes she gets on her instagram pictures. Firstly, because it's not a real measure of worth, or even a real measure of how attractive you are to the opposite sex. Secondly, because if you *do* start relying on it for your worth, you essentially become a slave to people you don't even know, and you will die a little each time some random person somewhere in the world gives you a dislike. Willingly making your self esteem be dependent on the whims of people who have never been, are not, and will never be, an actual part of your life, is a very dangerous way to live.
