Most of the older Red Pillers seem to realize that some kind of LTR makes life happier and more stable, as well as creating the best environment to raise their offspring. A few seem to have given up on this ever happening, though, or have gone through hardships that have led them to give up. In general, people get more serious with their life the older they get, as they fully realize that their time here won’t last forever.

Overall, I think an older Red Piller is going to hold his or her views because it is what has worked, just as having more Blue Pill views has worked for me. Younger people are more prone to experimenting with views, and their minds are more fluid when it comes to new ideas.

While I love the wives who seem to be around my age/season of life, I really enjoy reading the comments of older, RPed or non-BP women here. I may not always agree with them but I get wisdom or at the very least a laugh out of their stories and theories.

The older red men vary from guys who I think are pretty grounded and take a more common sense approach to RP (to the point where I am utterly confused by their need for it) to the truly jaded crazies whose wives I deeply pity. I don’t know what has to be broken inside of you to write about your spouse with that much disdain or to brag about cheating on her and I don’t care to find out.

I'm guessing I'm one of the older members here, considering I'm turning 34 next month.

My opinion on the 35+ male reds here is that they are not an accurate representation of most men their age. Most of them clearly got here as a result of consistent personal failure in romance, and it shows. They are more enfeebled, more embittered, and more accusatory than "normal" men. So while it's interesting to hear their perspective, it is not useful for anything other than filling my free time with lively debates.

It makes me feel very grateful for the men I've chosen to surround myself IRL.

Being older doesn't automatically mean that someone isn't susceptible to fallacious thinking and misunderstanding what they've experienced.

I'm young enough and have had few enough relationships that many people on this sub-reddit would probably try to play the "age and life experience" card with me if we were debating face-to-face instead of behind the anonymity of our computers. Ultimately, I think it means relatively little. Someone who grew up before the sexual revolution and got married as a 19-year-old virgin, for instance, isn't going to relate to the struggles that average men currently face in achieving regular sex.

Lol honestly??? Reading posts from older red pill guys makes me feel grateful that my dad isn’t that sad or mean. And my dad’s kind of an asshole, and terrible at expressing emotion. But at least he doesn’t treat adult women like children. And at least he doesn’t blame women for his problems. And I’m grateful that my parents have been married for 25 years and neither has tried to like, dread game each other. Their marriage isn’t perfect but at least they try to always respect each other.

I tend to agree with/get along better with older members of the various pills (can't really say opposite since I'm neither pill). It might be because I'm coming up on thirty myself, but I generally relate to the older folks more than the folks still in college. In general, the older members of this sub seem to have mellowed out more than the young bloods-- they tend to have a sense of humor about the whole thing, and they tend to have their lives and relationships pretty well figured out.

That said, if I'm looking for real wisdom, I'd look to my parents and grandparents. You want to talk about a long, loving relationship by some people who've seen some shit: My grandparents have been married for over 65 years. That's longer than any of us have even been alive.

I'm not BP, but I consider RPers "the opposite pill" for a number of reasons. They are generally traditional conservatives, and want men to shoulder conventional gender roles that I think we're better off leaving behind. Also, I don't find the anger useful. And most prominently, I don't encounter many who aren't alt-right Trump supporters. As to why someone might be receptive to the alt-right or ethnic nationalism/"racial realism" or that level of resentment, it's certainly beyond me. Though I suspect they'd reply that the state of the world drove them to it. It frequently seems that they live in a different world than I do.

I think the older women are generally quite introspective, honest and I've gained at least one pretty life altering insight from them. By older in this case I'm talking 40+. Largely seem to be non-blue?

Women around my age and younger (so the 18-35 types here) tend towards being haughty and relatively myopic, with some notable exceptions. They dont seem to understand the male burden of performance, dont seem to completely understand the nature of their own attraction, fail to empathise with men at all (beyond their own SO) and are really high on entitlement.

This is interesting; I believe that for a bloop in his 40s, it's simply scary to admit that things aren't as rainbowy as he tended to believe. Imagine a person who grew up in a conservative rural community and spent every Sunday worshipping god, and picks up a book by Dawkins at the age of 40. Imagine the amount of courage it requires to admit that you most likely flushed 1/7th of your youth down the toilet. Imagine the courage needed to admit that you invested in a bad asset, and the longer you wait for it to pay back, the deeper it'll fall.

They’re my preferred people to debate with. There’s more of a back and forth, whereas I think a lot of young people just come in trying to monologue. The older guys are more willing to talk about themselves and reveal themselves as human. Way less edgy, generally.

Of course, a lot of this is my perception. There are guys I’ve always assumed are in the ninth grade because of how they speak, but then I’m shocked to find out they have kids. So maybe there are more old man edgelords than I realize.

Unfortunately some of my faves have taken off: guitars, nomdeplume, sardonis, this guy who’s name had Red in but now I don’t remember.

We may disagree on some fundamental things, but there’s a lot more common ground than with the really young guys.

I think most older Blues (edit: and non-Reds) around my age plus or minus 15 years are upper middle class on up, married or in an LTR, established, are from inland or coastal metros, and have never once had anything really, truly taxing or devastating happen to them. My sense from their descriptions of themselves is that their money, influence and affluence insulate them from most bad consequences. They've always been well liked, never wanted for much of anything including attention from the opposite sex, and never really had difficulty forming or sustaining relationships. Many of them got good upbringings, come from two parent established traditional families with strong fathers and capable mothers, and got good "educations" about attraction, male and female nature, and how it all works.

When it comes to male-female relationships, they learned it all early on because someone took the time to help them out; or they got out there and were encouraged to get out there and pick it up on their own. They were not specifically steered away from people who were "in the know"; and they were not lied to incessantly from their earliest memories about how relationships really work. Their parents and others around them modeled healthy male-female relationships (strong father, capable but submissive and not doormat mother).

Or, they were just really lucky. They married the second or third person they ever dated/fucked, and they clicked and it worked really well, and they've just never had any real problems in their marriages to speak of.

Blues are this way because they never needed Red Pill. Or they got properly Red Pilled in their youth; but no one calls it that.

Dating was a lot different. Our grandparent's generation raised children a lot differently than our parent's did. So older members have a lot more dating experience, but almost none of which really apply to the current dating scene. With their lives were so much different, there is no wonder that draw different conclusions about life. Older members can come to different views because they lived and dated in a different generation. The world has changed a LOT over the last few decades. The women were a lot different. Dating was a lot different. Our grandparent's generation raised children a lot differently than our parent's did. So older members have a lot more dating experience, but almost none of which really apply to the current dating scene. I think highly of those who are purple but have the realistic elements of the red while discarding the garbage elements of the blue.

This references people who believe in the core tenants of their pill's views, filtered by the age: this excludes the guys who claim to be X pill but exhibit other traits.

Reds:

30 years:

A bit stupid, but early to mid 30s there's more chances for you to wise up. Though, depending on how bitter, they can adopt a more flexible approach.

40 years:

You're probably alt-right and all the stupid associated with it. Wising up becomes harder, but not impossible.

50 years:

You're probably alt-right or extremely right and believe in a golden age which never existed. Usually among the most bitter.

60+ years:

You're just a fucking moron at this point. Honestly believing shit like Brexit and Trump are slave revolts. Have no actual understanding of how the world works. More realistic than any bloop, but you've gone so far red that you only look at shit with red views insofar that you force RP into everything. You likely were part of a golden age which didn't exist which is really just you looking back at things with rose tinted glasses.

Blue:

30 years:

Average person, may be happy or miserable. Has a nice sense of optimism and has a chance to wise up.

40 years:

The personality I think of is a suburb dad, you're gleefully optimistic. Ignorance is a bliss, wising up to the realistic elements of the RP isn't impossible, but you'd not be as open minded if you have a chip on your shoulder about the other side.

50 years:

As above, but would be more aggressive to the other side. Harder to wise up.

60+ years:

Classic simpleton, extremely hard to wise up as you spent most your life believing in simpleton views.

Why do you think they hold their views?

Most people are afraid to honestly and objectively assess reality.

To do so, especially when older, would force them to grapple with the idea that they have made all kinds of worthless sacrifices throughout their lives. That they were wrong. It's kind of similar to how religious people don't want to hear any arguments against their "objective truths" despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary.

I'm not being dramatic when I say I cannot understand how someone can possibly disagree with The Red Pill after observing how consistent it is with human behavior. Our detractors simply refuse to consider that they might be wrong, evidenced by their failure to provide any sort of alternative explanation.

The problem with such an intellectually honest approach is that is has the potential to leave us with some uncomfortable truths.
