It's more abstract from what I've seen. People who are more extraverted and therefor more social/outgoing tend to have more options and are more likely to enjoy the party-/“hookup“-scene (which gives them more of an option to get a high N-count).

People who need novelty, enjoy taking risks, or just don't really care about what society thinks or worry about rejection and possible consequences tend to enjoy/ seek out casual sex more.

Lastly their environment and upbringing (religious and conservative vs. liberal) also has an affect on how they view sex and how they act.

Those characteristics can correlate with certain character traits but it is not as black and white as one type is a shitty human being and the other one an angel.

It's a huge generalisation, but I tend to see the opposite in my life. The women who were stuck on keeping a low count tended to be neurotic and judgemental and slow to show affection and love. They had weird hang ups around sex and relationships and we're generally just a lot of work to be around. The more promiscuous women I know were much more open and warm, they were fun to be around and had good social calibration.

I think it is too black and white. Define chaste, define high N. Also, people are a mix of many traits in many scenorios.

I think there is a correlation, but not the one that you posited. Promiscuous women are more likely to be social and charming, and so they’re going to be exposed to and liked by more people because we as humans gravitate to people that are very social, outgoing and make you feel like you’re their best friend within half an hour of meeting them.

And so just by virtue of the fact that they’re exposed to these many people, the likelihood that they would have slept with more people than the plain Jane introvert is higher. And in some of these women, it creates a positive feedback loop where she feels like as long as she’s kind to men and just gives them a nice smile, charms them and sleeps with them sometimes, she gets what she wants. And so she would keep doing it.

While on the other hand, a woman that’s a super mega bitch, who’s cold and critical will probably not be liked by many, and will not have as many offers and so wouldn’t have as high an n count. And the fact that she’s ignored and avoided by men, would also create a negative feedback loop and make her even more angry at the world. Thus perpetuating the cycle.

This is precisely why we tell the guys here that the actual men in the real world (and not the spergy reddit dwellers or the twerpers that are too caught up in their revenge fantasies to report reality), do not give 2 shits about a woman’s n count. Yes, even for commitment. Most of these men care more about personality and how you make them feel. And you bet your ass that they are most definitely going to choose the friendly, kind, positively social woman with an n count of 15, than the cold bitch with an n count of 2.

Not really. People with low sex drives just aren’t gonna pursue sex even if they’re charming. And people with a high enough sexual drive will cut corners on partner quality of it increases the quantity.

I think it's hard to draw any definite conclusions because there are too many variables. A preacher's daughter with an N-count of 10 is likely to have a very different makeup than a girl with a similar count who was raised in a free-love commune. Especially in the case of men, N-count only tells you how many partners people have had, not how many they would like to have under ideal conditions!

Sure there are probably character differences but not necessarily the ones you outlined.

High n-count women may be more warm, and more affectionate, and just not finding the man to love them. Or not attractive. Low n-count may be devoted, or just quick to lock down a dude to manipulate. High n-count of either gender may be programmed to seek novelty, or validation, or have a high sex drive. Low n-count may be faithful, or unconfident, or stubborn.

There's really a million variables.

I don't think that high N/low N correlates with being a bad or good person. I do think that there are personality traits that do correlate with high N/low N though, especially extroversion and introversion. I think that it's the same for men as well for E/I because high E men are probably on average less reticent and naturally better at trying to pick up women than high I men.

No, while their might be some general trends, like extroverts having more partners, and devout religious people having fewer: their are no real defined traits that would let you guess someones partner count.

anecdotally i'm a much bigger slut than my older sister (she's been with the same guy for a decade) and she is notoriously referred to as the mean one

i've really noticed no correlation with my friends though i would say most of them are sluts too, so. some are super nice some are bitchy.

There is surely correlation from my experiences but I am absolutely sure there is no causation between the variables. Most are related to external variables that affect both character and partner count like personality, religiosity and genetics.

Well, I think introverts are less likely to sleep around because meeting new people is not their preferred pastime. Otherwise, in my experience, the n-count has more to do with a person's attitude towards sex and relationships.
