The stereotype is that these TRP gurus are 400-pound keyboard-jockeys living in their moms' basements typing away bitterly into the void.

(Of course, we at least have pictures of one of them, GLO, so we know that he's in great shape. But that's only one of them.)

Anyway, let's assume the stereotype is false.

It has always struck me how generous these gurus are with their time.

They put in significant time on /r/askTRP answering questions, they reply to PMs (at least mine), and they make regular detailed posts on TRP.

Hell, they even show up here on PPD a bit, which is striking.

They seem to be nice AF.

But niceness alone seems insufficient to explain this incredible drive that they have to be involved on TRP and on PPD...

What exactly explains their motivation?

It's fascinating.

(If they're bitter losers, then their motivation is just the same as any sad internet ranter. But we're assuming that that stereotype of the bitter neckbeard is false...)

Edit: One PPD user said the following:

Always filter what you take from the red pill through the lens of who they are and why they are red pill. People that are successful, happy and fulfilled in life do not spend their days analyzing life strategies and screaming angrily into the void on the internet, they are out living life. Don't take it too seriously. There are some interesting points but a lot of it is the rantings of bitter men.

Edit 2: I showed my little sister this post and she laughed her ass off. She beamed an effervescent smile and said, "This is so NERDy!" She laughed. It gave her a great laugh. She read it in a funny satirical Poindexter "nerd" voice. She showed me this image; that's what she imagines the author looks like. She's a cool/attractive young 20-year-old, and her laughter/fascination gave me fresh perspective on how spergy TRP terminology is. (I can be very oblivious to linguistic sperginess, as you can probably tell from my diction lol.)
