I believe I partially answered it in my comment above. Please allow me to reiterate:

Firstly, due to dietary choices and the available alternatives, most men in Japan can hardly be called masculine. If biology has asserted one thing, it’s that, no matter the race and upbringing, women will always favor masculine/virile men
Secondly, from an economic standpoint, Japan is in a bit of a mess. Not from an indicator standpoint but from a quality of life one: Corporate culture is extremely unforgiving (long hours, obligation to socialize with the boss, karoshi or workplace deaths), wages cannot keep up with the cost of life, elitism is still rampant and most of the people in charge still live with the pre-bubble mindset of the 60s-70s
Thirdly, as a consequence of the second point, people in Japan are slowly opting out of roughly everything: Hikkikomori (or shut-ins), NEETs, parasite singles (folks who are in the workforce but still live with their parents to save rent), wives who confiscate their husbands’ wages are a few of the social issues that Japan suffers from
Fourthly, though Japan is highly nationalistic and borderline xenophobic culturally speaking and despite their history with the West, they were the first to adopt many of the habits, mindsets and products of the latter. Including women’s preferences. This, of course, lead to several “movements” in Japan’s society (gyarus, yankees...)
Taking points 2, 3 and 4 in consideration and combining them with parents’ high expectations for any candidate for their daughter’s hand in marriage, and you can understand why marriage rates and fertility figures are plummeting

As for the female strategy in Japan, with the exception of few rare cases, almost all women of decent looks will aim for the top dogs in terms of looks and the ability to provide (usually done through their salary, the company they work for, their title and the university they went to). In short, it’s hypergamy taken to the extreme.

I agree with most of what you're saying except the part where the men are not masculine. Japanese men are masculine in their own right, and this is shit like being focused on their job/purpose, drinking with buddies, and their own little hobbies. For guys/girls here big muscles/gritty western look != Masculinity.

You can't compare western masculinity standards to non-western cultures. Because of western media being widely consumed, a lot of women tend to THINK that western guys are more masculine, but end up having babies with beta Billy, divorcing his ass, 'kidnapping' the kiddies and going back to Asia to day dream about what life would've been had she stuck with Chang Thundercock. Yeah it’s a bit wild man. There are so many unwritten social rules you gotta learn at first (not hitting on girls on the train, no PDA in public (usually, rarely you get some bold ones who get a thrill), and tons of people dating coworkers) but once you go out and fail a bunch you’ll eventually get the hang of it. Japanese girls are almost universally very reserved upon first meeting, but it’s just how the society makes them to behave.

Once you start making moves and stuff, sure you’ll turn some girls off by being aggressive but I’d arguably say you’d turn on more girls on being aggressive because most dudes here don’t make moves until they are officially dating the girl here. I believed it for a while because that’s what I had always seen through media and the girls say they want, but just like any girls in the world what they say they want and want the respond to are on two totally different planes.

Sure, it’s just super conservative here honestly man. You come here thinking things will be the same as back home yeah you’re gonna be struggling a while. There are so many unwritten social rules here you’re gonna fail until you get the hang of it, it’s just the way it is.

PDA is a big no no in general here, Japanese people make a constant effort to show as little as possible, most I see is holding hands or the girls clinging on their boyfriends. I’ve seen kissing only twice here in public, every other place was only clubs. Japanese people make a huge deal about being aware of their surroundings, sure there are some that are a bit different but usually you’ll have to get them to take off the mask first.

I think a minority of girls here actually want to marry a foreigner (societal pressure) but I think many many of them want to at least date one. If you take care of yourself, all the normal shit provided you’re not going around chasing ass, you’ll do fine, same as other places, I think the stigma is there that everyone wants a relationship but of course that’s false. Many people just wanna fuck but have this weird sexual deprivation and that’s usually what turns into some weird fetishes. The majority of guys will not approach here, specially anyone outside their social group and girls are even less likely too.

But Japanese girls are as just as horny as other women, I think the idol culture here has corrupted what men think of women in front of them and make for some super unrealistic beauty standards because most guys won’t try when either they’re worn out from long work weeks, or they’re not given the time or day from just about every woman trying to get married by 25. There is an actual saying here that girls who aren’t married off by then here are past prime Christmas cake, which in itself I believe speaks to the crazy high standards that guys have for women, or rather society. Many guys would rather live in their fantasies with these VR games or images that the media sells, because they won’t say no or give them half the shit the average woman would here. It’s an escapist attitude and sometimes honestly I get it, it’s sad.

Not at all man, once you get adjusted, it can be a really nice place to live. If you learn how to watch Japanese people, you'll understand how to read between the lines when they say "your Japanese is so good!" even though it's shit, or "yeah, lets' go out again" or whatever when they have no intention to ever. The ambiguity and passiveness of the language along with the culture can be super frustrating at first, because they are so indirect with most everything, not to hurt feelings, etc. Most really don't mean harm by it, but it can make understanding how people really feel much more difficult than it should be.

It's kinda like the normal beta alpha situation but on steroids, might be one way to put it. The girls definitely chase the top 10-15% of guys, and what makes it even worse, the timid, feminized guys don't get anything let alone try which is why they just give up and almost surpress their sexuality, some do a better job than others. The guys that act like men here, slay it's just even more so here since they're so few to go around.

Guys almost never cold approach here, so any girls you meet are probably in your social or work group. It's so tightly knit the group mentality is a real thing over there, not to disturb the "harmony" in work relations and social situations since most value those more than with their actual family and friends or themselves.

I do think it's a bit over dramatized in media and stuff, but you'd be surprised how accurate it is for the most part. I feel some guys have gone so long without even trying, or trying and getting rejected by a few girls so they like repress themselves.

If I tried more easily I could be getting girls but with the work culture and value on work relationships and the exclusivity of social groups here, it's easy to get burnt out and just stop trying. There really is no excuse, cause if you act even a bit like a man, you'll make a killing here.

Just because two countries lost more soldiers doesn’t mean their efforts overcome that of other sides. Take the UK who was isolated, under equipped and rationing was introduced. It’s nothing historically amazing to brag about if all you did was get the worst K/D for the 6 years the war went on for. It shows your military tactics were inefficient and you used cannon fodder. But then again it’s viable for most of the undeveloped world to use, rather than modern tactics and technology that the US/UK/Israel/S.Koreans use in combat.

Ha, It's a very strange game here.

Just being able to show basic human interaction and having a fruitful conversation brings you huge points as a majority of guys are lacking this.

Girls in London know what's up when it's just the two of you. Goes without saying.

However, here in Japan, it seems as the girls have placed this barrier of friends only even though I'm really into you.

I'm finding it weird as fuck and trying to adjust game.

E.g. I invited a girl out and she shows up with two of her friends. Tried to game but it seems they all came out for a "friendly meet up".

Another example, got a girls number as she came up to me whilst I was working showing plenty IOI's. She's been heavily texting me. I arrange to meet up within the next few days . However, "work is very busy and long hours". I hate texting back and forth so this one is pending until a date is free.

You'll adjust with more time. This sounds like you are having difficulties reading the subtle signs Japanese give, in addition to suffering from language barrier.

Just know that JP girls are not stupid. They know what is up when you try to set 1on1 setting. They just play it dumb. The country is full of this pretense where they know that you know that they know. And you have to navigate it right.

"Work is busy" is an excuse in West and East alike, although super common and well used in Japan with the stupid work culture. However, if a girl is into you, she will make time to see you. Even if she really is busy (e.g. investment banker pulling 80+ hours a week), she'll suggest a time that would work. Getting this reply while they don't completely ghost you just means that at best you are a fallback option or that you are pushing for too high level commitment off the bat. Bringing friends? Code for "I'm not comfortable with spending time alone with you (yet and/or never)". Either they couldn't turn you down, because saying no is difficult culturally, or you didn't create enough comfort.

All of this is an attempt to have you just "get it". Sometimes you can barrel through by pretending ignorance. Often not.

Meet the outrageous demands of the girlfriend’s family. Including visiting their family every year, also apologizing for coming from a poor family and visiting the girl’s extended family members(grandmas, cousins)

The Chinese men are as cucked as the west, if not worst. The average Chinese girl is not as slutty as the average western women but they are so spoiled, and with the rise of feminism in China it’s only a matter of time before they adopt the alpha/beta mating strategy.
