This is very rare. Stats show men leave in times of disease, illness, breast cancer, loss of limbs, wheelchair bound, etc. Heck even when us women age past menopause. We are not souls to majority of men, only bodies and looks.

I remember when this happened, it was all over the news.

She was running a marathon in the Kimberley and a bushfire swept through the route and caught a lot of runners off guard. She unfortunately get the worst of it.

I’d believe this so much more if he explained why the question is wrong and how the very fact that folks assumed he’d leave her shows exactly what is wrong with men in our society. I’d see him as an HVM if at least if he actually said something about what a great person she is. How strong she is. How her confidence hasn’t waned. How her beauty has still shone in SPITE of her physical changes. Because let’s be honest, he didn’t marry her for her “soul”— he likely never realized that until after she was injured. Maybe this experience helped him realize that he actually cared about her for reasons other than her physical appearance. And that would mean that HE was the one who actually changed.

Yeah theres an ad campaign here for the upcoming election about this guy... apparently we should vote for him because he stood by his wife when she was shot and suffered some brain damage.
