This report? from an academic standpoint, it's a DISASTER. I found this analasys on r/kotakuinaction and it does NOT paint a good picture.

The Tl;DR is this: only 64% of the report's supposed 120 citations are actually valid. the other 36% are invalid, and includes cock-ups such as broken URLs, repeatedly citing the same source, plagiarizing Wikipedia, Citing things that do not exist, citing the user's /C: drive, and citations that are literally blank, among others. If you gave this to a university professor you would probably get kicked out.

Not to mention, as others have pointed out, the completely bullshit idea of "cyber violence" in the first place.

What I'm curious about is how the Feminists will react if this refutation is disseminated. I have seen them try to cover MANY things, but I have yet to see them react to academic dishonesty of this magnitude. GAH! The audacity!

Feminism requires censorship of opposing viewpoints due to its inability to win in the market place of ideas.

Feminists are VERY worried that men are figuring out the game and are speaking with each other online about it. They have shut down all MALE spaces in the physical world (in the West) but can't control the internet.

The UN has fully bought into killiing net neutrality. Having no control, or very little, over the internet is driving world "leaders" absolutely crazy. They see this vast wealth of your personal lives being exposed, and they want to take advantage of it. The specious reasoning - that this will keep women from accepting broadband - is patently ludicrous.

But why do they care if somebody doesn't want broadband? Note that they don't say that women would reject the internet, just "broadband."

Apparently, getting everybody onto their pipes is important to them, at the same time that they also want to destroy the freedom of the internet. And they want to be sure your connection has enough bandwidth so you'll freely and happily use it more and more.

As usual, when politicians (which is what these are) scream about how somebody who isn't being harmed, IS being harmed, it's because a monied, vested interest is paying them to forward that interest's agenda. And we already know who sees dollar signs in all this.

I've had a computer in my room for as long as I can remember. I was like 6 when I started playing with it, and got obsessed with technology, computers and the internet. I've played tons of games online, and I've been told by a very large number of people that they have slept with my mother, that I should kill myself, and other nasty comments, depending on how well I played that day.

Why do women have to take it so fucking personal? When someone tells me to kill myself when I miss a headshot I don't seriously consider killing myself. If I miss an open goal playing football with my friends, I'm not gonna have a mental breakdown when they tell me I suck.

I used to play on a Team Fortress 2 server with a bunch of other Frenchies and had one of my girl friends play on my account under my alias. People knew who I was and when she used the mic, people would go crazy because ''omg a grill''. There wasn't really any cat calling but suddenly people were much more talkative and it just boggles me how dumb and thirsty some dudes are. They'd send me Steam friend requests and then were confused when I'd tell them I was a dude.
