In this world, it is so, so much harder and more noble to be kind to others. Anyone who rejects that philosophy and takes delight in hurting other people deserves none of my time. It screams “I’m a teenage edgelord and am doing this to impress others” to me.

Lots of guys say that ‘women only like assholes! They don’t like nice guys like me! That’s why I’ll be an asshole and treat them poorly, because that’s what they want!’

Pretty sure that’s just an excuse. This “nice guy” was always an asshole and just needed an excuse to justify his asshole-ery. This isn’t about ‘giving women what they want’. It’s about revenge. They’re mad that they didn’t get what they thought they were entitled to: women. So, they abuse/harass women for revenge under the disguise of ‘giving them what they want’, the bad boy, asshole type.

They avoid taking responsibility for their internalized misogyny and would much rather take out their anger on the women who see them for what they truly are.

Just...run very far away from men like this. My ex proudly referred to himself as that and he was an abusive sociopath. At best, any guy that is seemingly proud to think he's an asshole really is the average asshole which most men are anyways. And at worst, he has a personality disorder.

Either way, when shit goes wrong, he can say he told you so about who he is and use that as an excuse to justify his disrespectful behavior. Just my two cents.

"I'm going to treat you like shit," is what they're saying.

Another part of them thinks, "women want me to treat them like shit." Then they whine about Chad's and nice guys and forget they're fucked up for being the ones who think half the population exists to take their bullshit in stride. Run. Run far away from these guys.

Oh my gosh, my ex would call himself that and for some stupid reason I thought he was trying to change and become a better person but newsflash he wasn't. He was just justifying mean/rude behaviors to himself. He blindsided me and disrespected me so badly at the end of that relationship, but I learned my lesson to never date another man like that again. It's such a red flag.

I went on a date back in Dec and within the first hour the guy said he " hasn't dated in years coz hes so busy and important",i" so so busy and important that he cant see anyone during the week and id be lucky to catch him on weekends", " it would be nice to have someone at home to bug him", " he has a Trump style of managing"

... i mean seriously like if i had a dick it would have shriveled and fell off from how turned off i was. so yeah.. if they are telling you they are assholes, believe them.

I used to have a coworker like that. My workplace is female dominated and i think he used that personality to feel less "emasculated." he also used to throw and break things a lot under the guise of "cleaning up his space." it made me feel stressed out and afraid out of instinct every time he would do it. he has a wife and 2 young kids and i fear for them all the time. i'm glad he left my job though.
