I got out of a three year relationship in December, my longest relationship ever with an emotionally abusive, alcoholic, bi-polar, mommy’s boy. We met on Tinder and we both had the same birthday, and he told me he loved me so early on and I felt wanted and cared for. I could list at least 50 red flags that I ignored. Everyone would ask “why is she with him? She’s beautiful and he’s just...him.” But I loved him anyway.

I’m just so mad at myself for ignoring so many red flags and putting up with him for so long. I keep beating myself up over it and wishing I could go back in time. I’m so glad I learned my lesson. Any advice on how to not beat myself up so much about this?
