Time to find something to occupy your time that doesn’t include staring at your phone, and move on. You know he’s not into you, so you now need to stop being into him. Recognize your time is better spent on other things.

If all else fails, I’m a fan of the rubber band on the wrist therapy. If you think about him, snap the rubber band on yourself. Boom.

For me, I've always just let time help me get over the guy. Live your life and keep yourself occupied (hehe, I know that may seem difficult at the moment). The reality of unrequited feelings is big enough reason to do your best to not waste too much mental space on him.

Personally I’m going through my third iteration of “getting over an unrequited crush.” It’s bad now but I know from experience that in several months you won’t even really remember why you liked them so much in the first place. Our hormones do weird things to us.

Well if we weren’t all in covid lockdowns I’d say that the fastest way to get over a dude is to go on a date with a nicer one, but in this case a new hobby of activity will do.

See if you can limit your social media and phone use during the lockdown.

I’m sorry you’re at this stage of your FDS journey right at the beginning of a quarantine... making new connections and starting new habits is harder than ever now.

I’ve been where you are, stay in no contact no matter what, find something to work on, have someone who will let you vent it out and save those conversations for that one person only, and read everything here like it is the word handed down from above. fake it till you make it you cannot let him see you crack.

One strategy I like is to make a list of all the things I don't like about him. You can include personality and character traits with or without how he treats you, if that makes you feel worse. When you feel yourself missing him, read the list. Repeat. I did this after my breakup and it helped immensely. Like, why was I missing someone like that??

I know this feeling. You know you shouldn’t like him but you do regardless. Other people said time and that’s definitely the most effective way. If you have a hard time keeping away from his social media then it’s time to block or unfollow to rip off the bandaid. In the meanwhile, do things for yourself that occupy/distract you and boost your own self esteem at the same time. Put on a playlist, give yourself a makeover, do a face mask, paint your nails, raid your closet, learn a new hairdo, whatever. Quarantine right now is the perfect opportunity for more glo up. This has helped me tremendously in the past to distract myself from an ex, convincing myself that he’s missing out. Oh well 💅🏻

This might sound lame but...it just took time for me, and when I decided that I deserved a relationship where we both liked each other, I did online dating...it didn't go well, but I did get over my crush.

Remember, it’s supposed to “be easy.” Like if you guys click and should be together, it’ll be obvious. There’d be no second guessing on either side, you’d both want to talk a lot, and spend time together. If you’re feeling hurt and ignored, and just hanging on when you’re going to hear from him, if it’s too much to text him again.. this is not the right foundation for a relationship.

He’s not into you for whatever reason (cliche as it may be, it may or may not have anything to do with you at all, it could be any combination of it’s not a good match or it’s not the right time, etc). It’s fair to let him go on with his preferences because you’ll have your preferences with other guys. Of course it’s easier said than done but practicing to not take anything personal. Finding not just a HVM, but one that’s right for you is statistically difficult so it’s just going to be a lot of trial and error 🤷🏻‍♀️. I’m more than confident you’re beautiful, kind, and a great value to everyone in your life so there’ll be plenty more guys

One thought that always helps me is, he makes your brain produce those happy feel good chemicals, go out and find something else that also makes your brain produce those happy feel good chemicals. Be it a hobby, exercise, spending time with family or friends, or even another guy... (I.e. dating, but don't get too attached, hence the dating multiple men strategy) last one is on hold obviously....

Could try picking up a new hobby. I picked up a foreign language and it really helps me focus on myself. Cant get better at the language if I'm busy wasting my time on those that don't appreciate it.

I’m in the same boat except me and my crush just marched on Tinder and he started flirting a bit more. Maybe that signaled to him that I am interested, but either way he knows I’m not waiting for him. I put my foot down and said “if you want to see me, don’t be a stranger. Text me instead of hitting me up on IG for a change” and he said he won’t be a stranger. I’m looking for more of a casual hookup thing right now honestly, but I think we’re pretty in sync.
