Holy cow guys, NO ONE has mentioned sunscreen!!! The sun is the number one factor in making your skin age. If you're not wearing protection, whether a hat, sunglasses, or sunscreen you're asking for wrinkles and sunspots.

So in addition to developing a good morning and night routine, you absolutely need sunscreen.

I'd say it's regional in a lot of ways. Many talk about The Wall falling in the mid-thirties and biologically, that's more or less true. That's when a woman's fertility starts to plummet and many start to go grey or, as you've mentioned, see wrinkles. In the South, though, it doesn't matter how good you look, being over 30 is often a dating death sentence akin to being a single mom. It sucks, because I'll readily admit that a 32-year-old woman who keeps herself fit and healthy and dresses stylishly and does her makeup well, can be in a much better place than her soda chugging, muffin-topped, 26-year-old counterpart, but men don't care. With the ubiquity of online dating, it is so easy to write off anyone over 29 and, around these parts, that's what most men do.

As far as your wrinkles go, just continue to dress age appropriately, with confidence. I think that's what really makes or breaks a woman's appearance. If she's still wearing Rue 21 clothes in her early 30s and taking makeup tips from Miley Cyrus, she looks desperate. The same goes for embracing every new, young fashion trend. Wearing classic pieces and natural looking makeup (personally, I love Bare Minerals) and maintaining basic modesty (skirts no shorter than 3 or 4 inches above the knee, on average and tasteful or non-existent cleavage) makes you look poised.

Edit: a woman told me I was baby-faced and could pass for early twenties yesterday, so that was cool

A huge aspect is how well you take care of yourself both internally and externally. (of course genetics play a role as well).

These two books will give you the basics but there is so much you can learn! Skin care is a rabbit hole of obsessive knowledge for me. :)

If you keep yourself as attractive as possible for your age and you keep the sex passionate, plentiful and fun, you have nothing to worry about. Your sex will become more and more intimate over the years, thus boosting your SMV to your husband (which is all that matters).

SMV stands for sexual market value. As a married woman, you're no longer on the market. Your sexual value is based on the sexual value you provide for your husband. If he's sexually satisfied, your value is up. If you let yourself go or if you start treating sex as a chore (etc), you loose sexual value. It's at that point that he'll notice the flaws, further devaluing your SMV. Keep him satisfied and these won't be an issue.

I've noticed I have way more fine lines in the morning, but it's because I'm dehydrated. So I drink a glass of water in the morning and that helps. One of the important things for fine lines is to drink lots of water

I'm in my early thirties and take excellent care of my skin. I started noticing the wall last year, and this year it's gotten worse as I have a condition which keeps me from using the most effective skincare ingredients. However, I've grown my hair out and lost weight, so I like to hope it balances out.

I think it's important to take care of your looks but also I don't think you should stress so much about aging.

My grandma will be 80 years old this year. She and her friends go out dancing 2-3 times a week, it's a 60+ kind of event. She likes sewing her own outfits, planning her makeup, which looks fun. She tells me about the men (their age, of course) flirting with her and her friends, and all the drama they have... It made me realize that life isn't over when you're older/old.

It is important to eat well and exercise though, so you can have the health and energy to be active and enjoy life.

I'll just add that ingesting sugar accelerates the depletion of collagen in your skin. I see women downing sodas all the time unaware of this simple fact, and then complaining about the appearance of their skin or sagging skin on their face. As already mentioned, sunscreen is a must. Clinique makes a very good, light SPF 50 sunscreen that you can apply daily.

With regards to wrinkles appearing in the forehead, if you can afford it, get on a botox regimen. Typically 20 to 25 units every three months (usually runs ~$420). These are neuro-blocker injections that help relax the muscles in your forehead. Over time, the fine lines will disappear due to inactivity. You don't want so many injections that you can't move the muscles in your forehead entirely as that looks unnatural.

Lastly, exercise is going to be your friend as you get older if you're not regularly exercising already. This in general promotes circulation and the formation of new blood cells which will keep you looking younger.

I just browse this community every now and then but you should recognize there is a difference between aging (wrinkles/spots) and expression lines. Aging is the result of skin wear/damage while expression is the result of cletching certain muscles. Forehead lines are very common. You can reverse and get rid of expression lines easily (take a look at /r/skincare). Expression lines can strike at almost any age for both genders- hydration and sunscreen is key.

No one places the wall at 25. Some people may say 28 is the beginning of the wall, but that would be extreme.

TRP is a pretty unforgiving place. People also say there that if she doesn't fuck you on the first date then next her. Or that a man should lift weights every day or he's not a real man.

Again, extreme examples which must be taken with a gran of salt and catered to the individual rather than prescribed as some universal law.

Depending on the woman and her lifestyle/genetics the wall can be anywhere from 27 to 45. The wall^TM refers to the decay of a woman's youthful exuberance or an acceleration of aging, and not to a chronological time point. So, if you're starting to get wrinkles then realistically you're probably approaching it.

Browsing through /r/SkinCareAddiction you will come across a lot of information on why sunscreen is so important. I use it daily now (and you need to especially if you use chemical exfoliants). Make sure you also use your products on your neck and décolletage and hands. Don't be afraid to use oils, like argan, rosehip and squalane. Switching from lotion to oil has made a huge difference to my skin. Make sure you patch test (I do so behind my ear) and add only a product or two in at a time.

Other than a few small lines in my forehead (which I've had since forever) I am wrinkle free and get mistaken for mid to late twenties all the time. (Average five years younger but have been mistaken for 25.)

/r/hair and /r/curlyhair to help frame your face with the best possible locks you can get. I'm still working on my hair... I've gotten lots of advice from people, all who have arrow straight hair, which does not work at all for my curls.

And a good healthy diet that works for you.

Aaand of course, a good gym routine that incorporates heavy weight lifting which will help increase blood circulation, give you proper posture, beautiful curves and keeps your muscles and joints healthy for an overall more youthful glow.

Guys pair bond with vasopressin. Once you have a deep connectiom, your guy has a much higher tolerance for physically reduced beauty in his spouse as well as even a natural (vasopressin mediated) repellant behavior towards other woman (keeps male polygamous urges suppressed).

I am of a mind that age isn't necessarily a hard and fast rule. I am dating a woman older then me. I prefer it for reasons.

Think of it this way.

Men are in a constant state of earning profit. We want to end our fiscal year in the black. Some of us have multiple gigs/businesses going.

So you start filling his accounts with cash.

Sex maybe gives him $10.
Certain sexual acts ups the margin. Varies between the man.
Supporting his mission in life maybe $20.
being supportive in his down times $35
Doing his laundry, cooking for him, let's say $30 for each time you do it.
Nag? Complain to him....the account losses money to the bank. At three times the rate it went in. We are now bleeding money.

At the end of the quarter, fiscal year the man will take an account. If the account is in the black when he makes this assessment he will make a return on that investment. if not...then he looks for other profit centers.

Make sure your account is filled.

That's because it's blokes discussing selecting women to start a relationship with out of all women available. And to many, that relationship will only be sex.
Even though I'm looking for a partner, I'm aware that 28+ is pushing our 'wonder years'. Working backwards, children, pregnancy, 'honeymoon period' (a year? two?), LTR (A year? two?), dating (9 months?). That's quite a few years to wait before starting a family. She's 32+ before we start trying for kids? That's a risk.
Then we have all heard the stories of "saving the best for last". Read: Slept with a bunch of blokes before finally deciding at 28 that she needs to find her "partner in crime" and we're the lucky sod left with the bill.
So "male RP" focuses on limiting those risks and many recommend "get em young".

TL;DR Male RP is a different strategy and not something you should start getting stress lines over.

"The Wall" to a single lady is the moment when she realizes it's now or never. She's about to lose her looks and fertility and still has nothing to show for it.
It's a different concept to a wife in a good relationship.
